I shoot a lot of weddings, and one of the most important part of my day is to make sure to capture everything I can. The second most important day is to make sure that the footage comes out usable and so stabilization is very important in that.
I have been shooting with a DJI RS2 over the last 2 years, and I have gotten some good footage from it, but I usually feels like something is missing, and I can do better. When SmallRig announced their wireless handgrip, I realized that's what I was missing. My footage has been smooth, but sometimes it takes a few shots or different movements to get the shots I want. The reason is because I was using the gimbal in an off-balanced position. I am hoping that this new piece of accessories will help me with that issue.

You said that this product is compatible with the RS2 and RS3 but according to Amazon it'll only work with the RS2 and RS3 PRO. That counts me out. I don't have the Pro version.

Great video man! Question, the audio at 03:12, is that recorded to a wired recorder? It sounds good!

So it seems you are able to attach the receiver to the right side of your DJI without any issue? It doesn't feel like it might detach and fall off?

what do we do about pulling focus? looks like no focus wheel on the grip. any solution?

This was looking so good till I realized they forgot/neglected to include the fingerwheel for focus/zoom - what a stupidass call! 💩...Tilta still has the better handles.

hahah i think it's a marketing strategy. They just launched a wireless focus / zoom wheel.

I think it's possible since it's all a wireless protocol. however, idk what will happen if both people are trying to control at the same time

Do you have a DJI RS 3 Pro or RS 3? Does that work for RS 3 as well? I'm a bit confused by your content. From what read by Smallrig. The wireless handle works for RS3 Pro? Please correct me if i'm wrong. I want to purchase one for my RS 3 (Not RS 3 Pro). Thanks

I don't believe it'll work with the RS3 because it doesn't have the connections on the M4 mounts.

@@johnlephotography Thank you for the clarification. I was hoping it would work for the RS 3. I looked at the NATO on both sides of the RS 3 and it does not have the electrical pins or connectors for the wireless unit. Again, thank you for your prompt response. Really enjoyed your videos and also subscribed to your channel. I'm trying to lean from other content builders on YT like you to improve my content building skills. great question, I don't use manual focus, but when in underslung mode, you still have access to the main handle. in dual handle mode, I am not sure

That looks like the smallrig 3949 , I just got the smallrig 3920 which is just the wireless control unit , smallrig advertise it as working with the 3027 dual handles rear handle and thier ring but! and its a big but it requires smallrig 3950 to hold the controller. The 3949 which has both parts the 3950 and the 3920 is around 50 euro more expensive than the 3949. The 3920 is a lot cheaper than the 3949 but without the 100 or so 3950 handle its useless. I feel i was decieved by Smallrig on this and i'm very disappointed in them. Usually i find their products very well made, maybe a bit more than the competion price wise but better quality. I mean if smallrig says buy the 3027 and the 3920 together to get a discounted price , you kinda expect them to work together not require another expensive holder for the 3920

No focus, No zoom 🤪 they think they have a strategy of underselling products, but the buyers aren't stupid.🤨 you can do something in combination with raveneye & smartphone
