Great video. Occasional stir or siphon and keeping the right creatures works well for me!

I've been using a turkey baster for years to both stir up the sand bed and blow off my rock work. I periodically stir the sand by going in just below the surface in a few different locations each time, this has kept my sand immaculate. 1-2 inch sand bed

Yeah, that’s also a great option. I used to do that as well but I can’t find one long enough for this tank…without getting my hands wet that is

great tips - buy white sand is great. Would be great if someone worked out which sands stay whiter longer I recently started bubble scrubbing and then a DIY coral snow that has made an improvement and yes I think I should get a orange spot goby

Like I said in the video, the aqua forest bio sand is the best I’ve ever found in terms of that regard. Yeah, a goby would definitely help!

Great overview, Your videos are very concise and thorough , I like to stir my sand bed with my long algae scraper once every few days, and I also gravel vac into a DIY sand filter/vac that I saw on Reefdudes KZfaq channel, I do that every other month or so. Works pretty good. Thanks for the tips on the micro bubbling at the same time as stirring, I may have to give that a try. Keep up the great content.

How deep is your sand bed? It looks very shallow since where there’s not sand in the middle of the tank.

How many gallons or liters is your tank and how many fish do you have in it?

It’s 1040L and I believe there’s about 18 fish or something in there :)

This might not work for aquariums like this with very heavy flow, buy for my 120 gallon softie tank I have found that finer sand stays whiter, this might be because it's easier for the goby to sift? Not sure

I mention that in the video :) I use the aquaforest sand which handles flow really well
