------------
In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.

I think you could make an argument that the distance Marks coconut travelled before he touched the ground should count. His coconut got this far away without him touching the ground. Bob and Nish also touched the ground before the 20 mins were over but their attempt counted. No where was mentioned that the attempt would end when the coconut touched the ground or that the final position of the coconut couldnt be in your hand. His position on first ground contact should have counted, as it did for Bob and Nish, as their premature ground touching was rule wise the same.

I don't understand why Mark's attempt was a disqualification. He got the coconut a certain distance and then touched the ground. Just end the task where he touched the ground. Nish clearly stepped on the rug after throwing his coconut, and as he had 4 minutes left I imagine he touched the ground as well, yet it counted. I'd imagine the others finished early as well and touched the ground too before the end of the timer. Yet only mark was penalised because of it. Sure, he is holding the coconut, but he still got it that far while not touching the ground, just like everyone else. So either his attempt is valid, or everyone who touched the ground before the end of the timer should be disqualified as well.

On top of that HE never touched ground. His shoes did. So long as he didn't take a step after touching ground he'd be fine.

@@NovaGuardian985 never played the floor is lava? In this case, the shoes are an extension of yourself, so if your shoes are touching the ground, you are as well. And if you want to follow every little detail, what is ground? The carpet they were on at the beginning was not considered ground it seems, so what is it? Is it pavement? Asphalt? Concrete? Grass? One could argue that each of these thing is something that is above the ground, so touching it would not be against the rules. And maybe all of that could be discussed if one of them thought about it while doing the task. Unfortunately they did not, so common sense applies, and ground is ground, and touching the ground with your shoes counts. Edit : just realised I'm very irritated right now for completely different reasons, I can't judge objectively if the tone of this comment reflects that or not, so if it does, don't take it personally, it's definitely not against you :)

>Alex, would it count as touching the ground if I threw pillows in front of me and stepped on those? if no >What if the pillow never left my foot? if we're still good >Alex, please get me pillows, scizzors, and a bucket. Once I cut some foot holes in the pillows, we're taking a trip to the river. If at any time the plan doesn't work >Alex, please take this coconut and a bucket, then drop them both off, coconut in the bucket, into the river.
