In this video, I show you how to get a Harley Road Glide Handlebar Upgrade the Easy Way. As we know, the Stock Harley Road Glide Handlebars are not the best. Typically the Stock Harley Road Glide Handlebars are too low resulting in uncomfortable long rides. So you have a couple of options, you can live with the Stock Harley Road Glide Handlebars as is, change the Road Glide Handlebars to an aftermarket option or do a simple adjustment that I show in detail in this video. This tip makes the Stock Harley Road Glide Handlebars much more comfortable and saves you a bunch of money and hassle from changing out the handlebars to expensive aftermarket options.

Definitely an effective trick to get you by. It looks like the stock road glide handlebars are a little taller than the stock street glide.

Always important to get exact fit for your comfort. These tiny adjustments make huge difference sometimes. Wish I could get good fit with my RKS but as you know really well RKS bars are junk. Good tip right here.

I have an RKS and still struggling to find the right bars….I bought a KST Kustoms 12” pathfinder. The pullback is not enough…:-(

@viktorkatona7521 When I owned my RKS, the bars were mu biggest challenge with the bike. I never changed mine out but did adjust them back a bit. The wrist angle was always odd feeling as well. Interesting, I have a road glide ST , I like the idea of T bars because, I grew up riding dirt bikes but , I can adapt to almost anything, if it’s comfortable and has performance characteristics, and plus a easy cheap Change , thanks , also great video on your lighting options custom dynamic , I’m definitely doing the same plus denial auxiliary d7 up front

We did this on 09-13 models as well … it’s a very cost efficient way of getting more height the draw back is the angle of your wrist and leverage on bars imho

i agree on the wrist angle, if i knew the bars wouldn't break, would put a pipe on grips to straighten a bit. i will be getting new bars when have extra money to spend on them.

@rayw8177 Thanks for watching and commenting. You definitely have to get the bars in the sweet spot. I seem to have found it. Height is good and wrist angle and leverage just right. What happens to the stop pin that is in the bars. What does that do to the mounting surface? Does the pin push itself into the bars? I'm sure the pin is considered a safety precaution but we all know it's Harley's reason to buy new bars.

Mine CVO RG came with KST adjustable bars but they are 10”. I have played with them and it’s hard to find that balance. Looking forward to getting 14” bars. By the way that switch collar kicked my butt😂 getting it back on took me much longer than I want to admit. That little tab is plastic and it looked stressed when I took it off (used bike) so I was very careful and I finally got it but I had to walk away from it one evening 😂I didn’t want to muscle it and break it. Did you put it back on before or after you put the side screws in first the instrument cluster? Thanks for the great content!
