This project started out as a guy on the Titanfall subreddit trying to replicate Titanfall 2's gameplay in Unity, so yeah...that's why it feels so familiar!

Some corrections and additions, boss: - Almost every weapon in the game has an alternate firing mode, toggled by right clicking, changing the color between orange to blue. The firing modes vary between weapons, some include the Assault Rifle's double barrel which fires two rounds at the same time albeit at a slower rate, rotating the L.A.W. 90° similar to the plasma cutter from Dead Space, or making the Marksman's Rifle (the burst one, not the scoped one) fire explosive shots instead. - Weapons can be bought with points you've earned from vending machines found occasionally through the levels, however it will take all of your points in exchange; the more points you are carrying will give you better weapons. - You can increase how many points you get by chaining kills within a short period after the other; the thin bar above your health bar indicates how much time you got left. Unfortunately your combo multiplier isn't shown (yet), but goes up (I think) by x2 after each kill.

Maximum Action + Titanfall 2 + Tron... I love it

Add some carpenter brut or perturbator, have some sort of dismemberment and level diversity, and this here'll be a classic!

This is just begging for the enemy variety of DOOM or Titanfall 2 plus a random level generator and a leaderboard. Having an editor is a great start.

The game as you can see from the visual and art direction that it takes are inspired by the Vaporwave/Outrun/Synthwave/Chillwave/Spacewave and Retrowave culture. A classic, i already saw in other titles the possibility to choose a gun before actually play a level and i appreciate it a lot. Can't wait to see where it goes.

I literally went to Steam store and bought it before video ended. I'm a huge fan of movement based shooters and I think combining Titanfall's movement with grapple hook is neat! The aesthetics really ring the bell of my early gaming days... Quakeworld played via FuhQuake with custom flat colored texture packs and then through ezQuake with r_drawflat 1 command and brightskins for players, weapons and pickups. Quake 3 with CPMA mod and of course r_picmip 10 coupled with brightskins. A brief period of playing Warsow 0.32 (the last version I liked but game's dead now anyway). My best gaming experiences with shooters were always the ones where I was in the zone, not disturbed by any visual noise, just simply "flowing" and enjoying speed of the game. Nowadays I'm not really in to online play, but enjoyed the "arena" design of latest Doom a lot. A game which combines that with one of the best movement models in all FPS games (Titanfall), great gun selection, speed of arena shooters I've played as a teenager and looks made to provide great visibility and clarity so you can focus on action?? Count me in. I'm more hyped for the full release than for Doom Eternal.

Looks good. Aside from reworking how enemy hitscan attack works the game would also benefit a lot from more enemy variety in the full release.

This reminds me quite a bit of Black Ice, which I played back in 2013 as an alpha build. I think it's the visuals.

At first, I tough you were reviewing metroid prime because the thumbnail weapon looks similar to Samus arm cannon.

Would be really cool if they implemented a DMC/My friend Pedro style mechanic. Maybe a game mode where the style ranks Grant you different perks? Or they offer an option to change weapons or equipment.
