I rent out a room in my house that pays 95% of my mortgage. I use credit cards extensively. I never pay interest on them. I use an app called m1 finance that makes it easy to buy and monitor stocks. I prefer dividend stocks. Call up any monthly services you have and tell them you wish to cancel service. They will give you a discount to stay.Never eat out. Cook all your own food from basic food groups. What I mean is don't buy boxed or pre cooked. You pay a premium for it and it's not good for you. If you are over weight fast a couple days a week. It will improve your health and save you a ton of money.

Hi there, couple of important things to add imo: 1. Once we pay off the debt and BEFORE we start investing in anything: emergency fund to be done, ideally 3-6 monthly expences (depending on work stability etc) on a side, somewhere where we can access these money on the next day - it will rain at some point, 100%. 2. Christmas, b'day etc - these are not unforseen circumstances. This is happening every year at the same time. During reviews with your better half it's not a bad idea to start talking about Christmas spending in summer (!) And then prep a sinking fund on a side for it. Great work, keep it up!

I thought this video was excellent.Would like to add a thought if I may, When starting to save money, first is to save enough money for three to six months of living expenses , keep this separate as well. I suggest this due to how Our economy has radically changed in the last decade, I seems like job stability is decreasing ever more so . Just a thought.

Hey Ryan, hope you are well. I have heard that the better way to invest is to not be diversified, but to have just a few investment vehicles - really good investment vehicles. It is said that even Warren Buffett doesn't even diversify per-say. What is your opinion on that? Thanks.

I do feel the financial advice may be dated. Mutual funds right now are not a good idea, in my opinion. The dollar is on route to collapse, or be pegged to metals at great pain. Gold/silver is the move, or put your money towards revenue generating assets that will weather the financial storm.

I took me many years to become financially well off and stable. No debt, big useless house, fancy $100k car, toys. Now, on que, the economy should completely collapse. In the back of my mind I know that no matter how well I do a few banker keystrokes could take that all away. The odds of clubbing a rat for dinner is always there. Once I was on a date (ugh!) around 2006 and she asked me "where do you see yourself in ten years (greedy ho)" and I replied living in a box under a bridge, clubbing a rat for dinner. That was the end of that possible romance haha. The most simple, best advice: NEVER get Married. All it is - a corp contract where the man is the LOSER.

Helpful critique: this is a worthy channel which is why I am here. You offer valuable insight. Great. However, please realize that some of us are EXTREMELY busy and simply cannot sit through 26 minutes waiting to see what these “points” of wisdom are. Some of us are very smart and don’t need the endless explanation before you get through to the next point. PLEASE simply summarize the “points”1-10 down below so that we done have to scroll through a whole 26 min looking to see what the points are. Thank you
