In this Full Sail University panel, film industry vets discuss their experiences with the Directors Guild of America Training Program and the American Cinema Editors Internship, among other training programs, plus share tips for how to best be considered for them.

This is so helpful. I have "gotten advice" from so many people, but it seems they're always stingy with how to get in because they're scared us newbies will steal their jobs lol. Thanks guys for being so open and detailed.

Congrats Full Sail Alumni, Great stories/Bios, thank for the inspiration fellow Full Sail Graduates/Alumni! I am working on finishing my B.F.A. in Creative Writing for Entertainment and Marketing Certificate as well. I am trying to break into Film in any area at Pinewood Atlanta Studios any suggestions? Why you ask? I want to make amazing Films that create a world people can enjoy their life in. By the way Peter Gordon some might say you later on had a "Cast & Couch" interview. Congrats on your marriage, 33 years, and all your guys' success!

Larry Katz, I share the same passion as you wanting to make amazing Film that I love to watch. Just to be apart of the nucleus or the family/film crew and work on the sets, green screen, sound effects, makeup, writing, and anywhere else i am needed. I have no aspirations of having the highest profile job. I just want to help, network, create, and work with people who love to make films that allow people to dream or dream of a better life for that hour and a half they are in the theater. Any info./advice is appreciated. I am married and currently looking into the D.G.A. training program. I know where i want to work, Pinewood Studios Atlanta, honestly any position Full Time to get my foot in the door, and be a "Lifer" there is my goal. Thank you for your time! Best of Luck, Amber
