You provide us with some pretty cool adventures, and the ability to see and go places through you that many of us will never see in person so I feel I owe you a debt of gratitude! My mom has a handicap placard, looks completely healthy, and has been called out for parking in the disabled spot. She actually has a really bad spinal cord injury and has debilitating flare ups if walks/exerts herself too much. Nobody would know if they saw her. People should just mind their own business.

As a vicarious traveler who can't stomach long periods of time in the car, I thank you kindly for all of that driving you do to make your videos.

I'm a disabled person and I certainly think it's fine if you have a disability or if you don't. Or if your family member has a disability and/or is old. What I am totally over as a disabled person is random strangers expecting disabled folk to HAVE to explain themselves. Nobody has to explain anything, and it's not appropriate for strangers to expect other strangers to explain personal stuff about themselves. That isn't ok or appropriate at all.

I had a similar situation with the handicap sticker. My mother lived to 89 and she was diabetic and legally blind in her later years. She got a handicap tag that my sister and I put in our car when we would take her to the doctor etc. One day I took her to Bartells' Drug Store, parked in the handicapped spot, walked around and helped her out of the car with her white cane and walked into the store. When we came out my car (brand new car) was keyed. So it isn't always the actual person driving that the sticker is for, often times the person that qualifies for the sticker needs a driver. I never used the sticker again when I was driving her and I never left it hanging in my car.

My dad is disabled and we have to use the handicapped parking sign when he is with us- so I know where you are coming from.
