I love your suggestion to visually tailor your CV to the company logo colors and additionally, use the same font if the company uses a unique font/color scheme. I wish I had known that years ago!

Thanks for posting this! I was supposed to be in Paris last year, but real life (ahem a rogue car) literally got in the way. Now I'm thinking that looking for a job is going to be the best bet when it's time to go. Also, I love LinkedIn. In the past, I've used the more personal approach by sending messages directly to HR managers, although I've learned that this is a no-no for French companies.

@@Ariellelaparisienne Thank you so much for the support :) Once again, I can’t explain how much I am able to relate to your situation, may it be tweaking my resume for the job position, looking for openings that has less number of applicants, realising to add “Hobbies “ in resume, and most importantly compressing resume in one page 😁Moreover, a week back, I almost lost all hopes and stopped applying, until I watched this video. May be I will start applying once again (fingers crossed). BTW wishing you lots of success and happiness in your new job:)

In the US - no photo - and you have to change it according to each and every job description!!! And as if matters where not worse, a program picks you, not a human being🙄 if you are a female, you get bumped up, then it depends on which race you are if you will be bumped up the list or not…

Omg I’m really happy you did it! Cause i just finished watching the video you were suffering from post master’s visa and you were like coming from the future, I really wanted to know what happened with you and suddenly you appeared here to show us how did you find a job!! And the question still in my mind if you are now able to apply for French Citizenship? Or you need to wait till you have 5 years? I live next to Paris and your videos are extremely useful for me in my 2nd MSc year. Thanks!

Hey! I am looking to study Communications in France as well. Perhaps I’ve misunderstood what you said, but did you not have any concerns about applying for jobs outside the scope of your studies considering that it is a requirement for switching from the RECE to a work visa? I’m also blown away that you got a Passeport Talent visa, it all feels so impossible for someone wanting to go into Communications

that is pretty par for finding a job 200 apps/month..What is you Masters degree in? BTW: Greece has the highest number of Masters & PhD graduates of all the EU countries. The 'CV's France use are similar to what the Creatives use ( Artist, Musicans, etc.) ....LOL 'startups'...Apple & Microsoft were startups at one time! People either get a job in their field or using their skill set.......that's the way it rolls folks

Hello from India Arielle! :) Hope you're doing well. Thanks so much for your videos they're really helpful. If you don't mind I would to ask you something. Is it possible to get an internship/job as an international student fluent only in English (as of now) in Paris? Like do they hire people like that and is it possible to get a visa for the same? Also, I've just recently completed my bachelor's degree. I have a degree in Commerce and a diploma in fashion styling. So yeah I really look forward to hearing back from you! Thanks so much ❤️❤️
@Ariellelaparisienne
@Ariellelaparisienne 3 жыл бұрын
Hi ! 😊🙋🏼‍♀️ I would say it’s definitely possible - but harder to do. The vast majority of students in Paris are bilingual so you would be competing with people who speak an extra language 🙁 but it is possible ! Companies that are NOT french but have an office in Paris often speak English at work because it’s so multicultural, so try looking at brands / companies that come from outside of France ☺️ really a company that come from any other European country will speak English at work normally An internship in English will also be easier to find than a “real” job (CDD or CDI in French) and that’s because they pay interns much much less in France - so there are a lot of companies hiring huge amounts of interns right now and so there are A LOT of opportunities !
