Mount Tantis, and in particular Project Necromancer, feels like something Palpatine wants to keep well away from Darth Vader and the Inquisitorious. He is trying to subvert the proper order of the Rule of Two by living forever, and keeping his apprentice from taking power. Not the kind of thing he wants either Vader or his possible future apprentices (the Inquisitorious) to know about.

I plan to rewatch The Phantom Menace for May 4th this year. Last year I rewatched Return of the Jedi to celebrate, and next year I'm planning to rewatch either The Force Awakens or Revenge of the Sith. (One of the examples I know they haven't seen The Mandalorian are: One of my Aunts don't have a TV with HDMI nor Streaming Services in their houses. I am pretty sure they might not going to see the Mandalorian & Grogu movie without seeing The Mandalorian series and they might going to see the upcoming Rey movie instead.)

On May The Fourth, I most definitely have plans after I get off work. First, I’ll go to my local comic shop to get all of the free comics, The Phantom Menace one-shot, and the trade paperback for the Thrawn comic adaptation. Second, I’ll stay at home for a couple of hours to build the “Boarding The Tantive IV” LEGO set. Lastly, I’ll go to my local theater to see the re-release of The Phantom Menace.

For the finale of Bad Batch, I want to see a moment where Crosshair clinches his fist, moving past all of the torment he suffered and then starts snipering everyone. I think Hunter dying would be the most emotional minus Omega. If Hunter dies and CrossHair now has to be the father figure. Or all the Bad Batch die saving Omega and Omega and the kids get away.

That would be hilarious if Sam Witwer showed up for that trivia night!

I remember seeing Phantom Menace like five times when it was first released, during the summer. This time around , I think its for the kids to experience Ep1 in theaters.

I used to have four 10-screen theaters within ten miles of my house five years ago. They are all gone today. So are about a half dozen smaller theater complexes. All gone. No one talks about going to the movies, anymore.

Taking me back to 1999 when I dragged my Mom to go see TPM in cinemas and then off to Pizza Hut for dinner for the marketing tie-in back in the day!

I’m going to the 9 movie marathon on Friday, but I wish I could see the acolyte special look without going back for phantom menace again..

I am seeing a lot of the discourse around what comes next for Star Wars animation claiming two different things with equal certainty; one camp saying that they're setting up The Hidden Path (Ventress and Quinlan Vos sheltering force-sensitive children and surviving Jedi etc from the Empire), and the other saying that they are setting up The Clone Underground (Rex, Wolf, Gregor, Hauser, and the Boys quietly fighting back against the Empire). And whilst I would gladly watch either of those shows, if they created them with the care and quality they have shown The Bad Batch, I also don't think that this is wholly what they are doing. One of the great qualities of The Clone Wars, was that the stories on offer, whilst primarily focused on Anakin, Ahsoka, and Obi Wan, had a wide breadth of characters to focus stories on across the whole conflict. You were as likely to get episodes, arcs even, focused on The Clones, Yoda, Mace Windu, Padme, Jar Jar, Boba Fett, and even Ventress herself. The Bad Batch has been largely missing this, with most stories laser focused on The Batch themselves (to great effect, I might add), having the odd (stand-out) Crosshair episode in the first 2 seasons, and even more infrequently having Clone Underground centred individual episodes. Rebels too, whilst also excellent, followed this Main Characters-centred story-telling structure, rarely deviating to tell tangential stories of other things happening in the Empire. I have a good feeling, that by setting up these two avenues of a back door pilot, the next show will not be strictly, The Hidden Path, or The Clone Underground, but a much broader title of The Dark Times. Featuring stories from all over the early days of the Empire, they would be able to have several episodes long arcs with, say, The Hidden Path, telling a deeper story than a single episode can manage, before giving that story room to breath and moving to another arc with the Clones, to build tension. They could tell individual single episode stories of, for example, someone working within the Empire to bring it down from the inside, or of someone wholly committed to the Empire slowly losing their faith, or any number of other small scale stories, who get one episode per season to tell a longer-form story over the lifetime of the Series as a whole, maybe even culminating so that their story has an impact on the ending that no one else in the story, except the viewer, even knew about. True Clone Wars style story-telling, just moved into the Early-Empire period, with the modern art-style. So my question would be, is this the kind of storytelling that you feel Lucasfilm should be telling, and if so, do you think there is a chance that I am right, or am I way off here? With the Rey Movie, the Dawn of the Jedi movie, the High Republic and The Mandalorian time periods all coming up on the agenda, it may well be that the franchise wants to move the resources for their animated shows to one of those time frames for the time being and not spilt focus, but having set up so much fertile ground for stories in this period, it would be a shame not to capitalise on it.

He wakes up to Mara, Han, Chewie, Son Ben, Niece Jana and Nephew Jacon, R2 and 3PO. Thrawn is back.....Boom Correct 7-8-9 but, 10-11-12. Same actors but, Rey is Jana, Ben is Jacon, Po is Ben Skywalker....Makes sense. No Carrie...No Issue.
