Maybe you can exercise him at a dog park. Some people are fearful of dogs, especially large dogs off leash. I am one of those people; I've been charged and bitten on a trail and in a campground. He may be a sweet dog but if it's running towards me... how do I know he's friendly. I now carry bear spray & have used it when people don't leash or control their dogs.

I would not allow him to go too far ahead of me, always insight. And if people are coming I always hold on to him, just in case. ❤️

I tried to adopt a German Shepherd one time a few years ago. He was extremely high energy & strong. I couldn’t train him as he was full grown & had never been trained. I was overwhelmed. It is good you have him for protection! I have a 45 pound mixed lab who is easy to train.

I believe he has lab in him, just look at those cute ears lol ❤️

I got lost one time and told myself if I get lost and stay lost I won’t have to worry about getting lost again, so I’ve been lost ever since

If you ever end up house sitting in Edmonton, the river valley is loaded with off leash dog parks. Edmonton has the largest urban park system in North America.

Wow, I did not know that. Thank you 🙏

@@WanderingGigi You’re more than welcome. I just moved out of Edmonton after living there for 52 years. I miss my kids and the river and its valley. The trail system in Edmonton is world class. I bought an E-Bike in June of 22 and have put 13,000 km on it. It helps being retired. Now I’m out in what was once Apen woodlands of AB. If you decide to sell your car think about how an E-bike might work for you. I ended up using my e-bike for a lot of my shopping and going to visit family and friends. I’ve just bought a 1 owner 19 foot 1982 Chev motorhome and at least one e-bike will be going with me. Take care.

@@bobk18 is that a class A motor home or class C? 1989, I worry about my 1990! But presently I have no place to put a e-bike, but love the idea 😊
@bobk1821 күн бұрын
@@WanderingGigi oh it’s a C, has the classic Chev Van front end. I looked for about 3 years to find the perfect fit for what I wanted. I would have bought a camper van like yours but just couldn’t find the right one. I bought one of those cargo carriers for the back bumper/hitch, it will fit one e-bike and a bit of other stuff. Ya I’m officially van dweller now. I think of the motorhome as a van still because it has the van front end. Drives just like a 1 ton dually van. They are basically 1 ton dually vans with a wooden box built around them. Happy trails. 🙂

If you can’t control the dog and you find its behaviours inconvenient, it should be left at home. Take it to a dog park or a beach where it’s permitted to run around. You are letting the dog run rampant in a sensitive environment meant to protect wildlife. The dog is considered a predator and will cause the protected wildlife to flee the very area meant to protect them! Dogs can carry disease which can be spread by their feces and urine. I have to be honest, I find your blatant disregard of these obvious facts very disturbing and ignorant. If the dog is pulling on the lead you need to correct the behaviour. Keeping the dog leashed is considerate of people who are fearful of, or don’t like dogs. These are quality trademarks of good pet owners.

I don’t believe I said I had no control, I have said the opposite. He listens very well thank you 🙏
