I can just see you after everyone has left, the workday is over, and you're left there alone with the smell of the fire burning, the scent of fresh dug earth, and the bite of pine in the air...thanking your heavenly Father for blessing you so richly. He knew what He was doing when He looked down and chose to bless you and your little family - He knew you'd share it with the world and I'm so thankful I'm one who gets to view this. It brings back so many memories not only of the scents I can almost smell through the screen but also of my childhood and going with my Dad to cut firewood and burn the scraps before leaving. We DO trust that you're doing the right thing - it's just too awesome to be anything else.

dont watch the TV...its all propaganda anyway.
@dalegereaux18632 жыл бұрын
@@crazydoglady5 regular TV is definitely propaganda but the news on conservative channels that show-and-tell the facts about what the government is doing is even more scary !
@crazydoglady52 жыл бұрын
@@dalegereaux1863 Its scary because our government has overtaken the people. Depending on who you watch on alternative....you may not be getting all the facts. I don't consider FOX an alternative. they are corrupt too. just saying.
@dalegereaux18632 жыл бұрын
@@crazydoglady5 I like Facts Matter, Next News Network and RSBN. At least with their stories they back it up with documents or a video of what someone actually said and they don't try to sensationalize things. Still, even the facts are pretty depressing sometimes. Maybe we should just give the entire government a six-month hiatus.

Just found your channel a few days ago and have watched all these cottage videos. Really neat seeing all the progress on this place. We have 50 acres on a lake on Vancouver island so I completely understand all the needed work. It’s constant for us. Lived here all my life and don’t know any different though. I will say your trees on the east coast are very small compared to ours on the west coast. I never knew they were so different. Looking forward to seeing more progress videos.

Great video, really getting things cleared and cleaned up. Thank goodness you have all the equipment to get the job done. The place is going to look fabulous! I've watched you since you acquired the property and I think to myself, I wonder if Will Rogers and William Hearst went through the same thought processes when they acquired and developed their wonderful piece of properties? Just beautiful, abundant land with super cute structures and lay out. Growing crops even if it’s on pots on the porch. Working is life.

Widow makers need to come down and making sure your driveway is usable in all seasons is just good common sense. It’s your property and you should do with it as you see fit.
@clubsprt2 ай бұрын
No harm in cutting trees down to make a usable and safe place around your buildings. There are more than enough trees on the property. Honestly I'd clear the whole centre of the drive area, grade it and gravel it. Especially if it's going to be a holiday rental makes it easier for who ever and what ever vehicles may come through there

These videos remind me of when we were clearing our land . Only difference was we didn't have the backhoe to move stuff till we got to the stumps . Bombfires in January-February. Wood cut up for firewood. Alot of spruce . 3-4 fires going/small ones going at a time. Our property is 1 huge Granite ledge . An old query hole. We Didn't really realize that till we started clearing. So another reason why we had small fires was because it the heat warmed the Granite. We found a small area where it Cracked a few small pieces. Then as it got warmer. Our neighbor came in with his backhoe to pull the the Stumps out . What a mess 😆 🤣. Plus he got stuck a few times. But when it was done. Looked Sooo much better. 😍. Over the years we have New growth . Christmas trees ,Birch trees , Cedar trees. We Still have a few Widow makers that Need to come down. Some are on our neighbors side . Which if they Came down. They can and will fall on our land and house . They are Dying and Rotting .

But again it is your property now and you also can build a highway to the place. 😢. But you have your dreams and we had ours. Greetings from Ireland Bobby

I’m looking at it maintenance related. All the shed roofs and the cottage roofs are full of moss and rotting due to it being dark and getting no light. Also I had people on to scope out for solar and a lot of trees need to come down to allow the system to work. I’m am saving as many as I can but I need it to make sense going forward. There will not be a highway but it needs to be a solid road gear around. I could barely get the generator guy in yesterday to fix it. Hope you are doing well over there!!
