Almost all castes did it in Odia culture, it's called Karnabheda ceremony. Now only Brahmins, Karanas, Khandayats and some other castes do.

Yes but it is a part of ancient Hindu traditions and should be upholded and continued - however be the pain it should be done - it has many positive effects.

My ear piercing was done in a traditional way with gold wire which they mould into a Bali after piercing. Both ears and nose. Now when I see people getting pierced with that gun, I am like dude, you don't know the real piercing. Fir kaan aur naak pak gaya tha aur Haldi-sarso ka tel lagana padta tha..

Because he rubbed xylocane 5percent jelly wich is tropical anesthesia so he will feel pain after amm 20-30 mins but it will be sharp small pinch like pain

Please Follow our Shashtra for Kumar/Kishor/Yuvak/Purush/Men first pierce right ear and then left ear for Kumari/Kishori/Yuvati/Nari/Women first pierce left ear then right ear. In Yogic language Purush /Men represents right side of human body and its main Nadi is Pingala Nadi and Prakriti/ Feminine/Women represents left side of our body and its amin nadi is Ida nadi

As Per Authentic Sanatan Shashtras , Kumar/Kishor/Yuvak/Men must get pierce at Right ear firstly then Left side of ear must be pierced or only right ear can be pierced But for Kumari/Kishori/Yuvati/Women it must started from their Left ear , first left ear should pierced and then their right ear must be pierced... In Yogic language Purush /Men represents right side of human body and its main Nadi is Pingala Nadi and Prakriti/ Feminine/Women represents left side of our body and its amin nadi is Ida nadi there is third main nadi known as Sushushma Nadi

I did bothmy helix (cartilage) and lobe piercings this way it's not at all painful in the process but keeping the piercing is goddamm painful for a couple of months

actually i had no ear peircing till i was 9 but one day we went to our village's jewellery shop to pierce my ears as the uncle also use to do ear peircings so he took the earring and sharped it's edge and made it really thin and poked in on my ear and it just felt like a ant had bitten me, i was shocked that it didn't hurt at all, even the shopkeeper said that "i am shocked how calm she was in the process any other girl her age would have ran away😂" but after i returned my home i got a high fever

Bhai cartilage ears mae hoti hai iska ye mtlb nhi ki pura kaan cartilage ka hai, aur piercing cartilage mae nhi tissue mae hui hai, toh pain toh hoga hi, kyuki unhone bahut jaldi ye kiya iss liye jyada dard nhi hua
