Yeah ain’t no way that’s a professional shop the way she flat iron his hair. She never touched his roots and she did to many passes on his hair and it still was not straight. He has gorgeous hair and if done right it would’ve been handsome on him.

She styled your hair that way because she’s not used to straightening a man’s hair. If you asked for a specific style and she didn’t listen, don’t go back. Also signs of a bad hairstylist include too many passes flat ironing and not detangling properly. I’ve been to my fair share of hair salons with no issues but the last time I stepped in one was 6 years ago. The woman detangled my 4A hair with a blow dryer brush from roots to ends. I told her that was an inappropriate tool to use on kinky hair textures and that she should have detangled from ends to roots since it was a salon that many black people went to. I stopped her because she was literally ripping my hair out and she got offended. I do my own hair now. Just because people work in a salon doesn’t mean they know how to do hair.

It looks good but they should’ve clipped your ends too. The wash and deep conditioning was good, you didn’t need flatiron.

I agree I'm puerto rican with 3c 4a hair and I go to black hair salons . only ppl that treat my hair right and because of black hair salons I learned how to properly take care of my hair. Dominican hair salons damaged my hair so bad had to do a big chop twice.

My hair reverts the very same day with a regular flat ironing. As a result I usually don’t bother with heat. A silk press definitely lasts longer.

Yes they did that too my daughter mixed it in with the conditioner,daughter was complaining of it burning and they lied and said the conditioner has a tingling feeling,all the while they mixed it with perm

I went to a Dominican hair spot in NY. I got a wash blowout and trim.. Within a week my hair started breaking off soooo bad. Good thing I had some rice water already made up. I saved my hair and never went back.
