The work begins to prepare for our eleventh business season in Provincetown, Ma. The dust, the smells, and we almost forgot to turn on the water! A trip to the Ross’ Grill (one of our favorite restaurants in town), the return of a favorite piece of furniture we haven’t seen in a long time, and a bird nest right in the middle of all the action. That's a great idea, and we wish we could do that, but unfortunately that would probably not be appreciated by some of our guests. We can't even use dryer sheets on our linens because a surprising number of people are very sensitive to the smell.

Years ago I visited for the day. Interesting place. I had a crab salad and by the time I got to the pier for my boat trip back to Boston I exploded at the toilet block by the pier. That crab salad was nasty. The restaurant in the main street had a large garden out front with lots of table and chairs in place.

Hey guys - if you have to take down the interior cameras- could you have cameras outside the doors? As far as I know anyone can film anywhere in public areas…. So good seeing you guys - 👍😁PS… the place is gorgeous!

Hello!!! Yes, AirBnB allows exterior cameras as long as you disclose their locations, but those wouldn't be very helpful to us. Already this year in our interior common areas we've had things unplugged, things gone missing, and unexplained commotions reported by guests in those common areas that unfortunately now we can't look back on and see what was happening. It very much diminished our ability to provide a seamless stay experience for our guests on several occasions. We can't even tell sometimes if late-night checkins arrived. Still assessing what we are going to do!

So what's up with the water level? Or is that normal for there, coming in that close in winter but goes out by summer? Oh, you suggested that fall might me my time there since I don't like big crowds. Appreciate that. I did view/watch a gay travel couple who did a recent video of P-Town in the busy season and it was fine to me. I see that there are several types of bars/clubs/eateries to choose from, some not as busy as others. I wouldn't not have fun and enjoy myself there with the options available. Who knows, I may surprise myself?

Howdy! That's the harbor and the water level was completely normal (it doesn't change in other seasons). In fact, that was a fairly low tide - it comes up quite a bit higher. Keep watching and you will see how the town and the crowds change throughout the seasons. Fall definitely is our favorite time though! As for how busy things looked - keep in mind what you see in this episode is pre-season, so at that point not much had really begun.

Can't wait to visit over Labor Day! Do you guys have a cannabis policy or does Ptown in general. Last October I could smell it up and down Commercial Street, so I'm thinking Its not a huge issue, but wondering about policy.

Hi! The state regulation is that you can't smoke it in public. On our properties it's just like cigarettes or cigars - not inside (or in your room) - but we have outside areas where you can!
