I firmly believe it was prayer that led me to the carnivore lifestyle. Some people ask God for weight loss help. My prayer was for forgiveness for having abused the temple of the Holy Spirit for so long and for God to direct me to the right way to heal it. 2 years later and I am a different man. If only I had done this in my 20s and early 30s when my wife and I were unsuccessful in starting a family because at 40 I feel better than I ever have. I think repentance is a big part in our healing at times. Yes I believe we can be spontaneously healed. However, if it was our actions that led us to be unhealthy, what would we learn if we didn't change our direction of thought? We'd just go back to doing the old things again and have to repeat the same mistake over and over again. Therefore, I thank God for opening me up to unlearning and rethinking nutrition. This took a lot by the way because I was a PT and Nutritionist for years until the nutritional curriculum I had abided by, started turning against me rather than feeding me. So, I give glory to God for guiding me here and offer my deepest appreciation to doctors like Dr Chaffee, Dr Kiltz, Dr Baker etc etc for all their advice and sticking their neck out for nutrition truths. God bless you all richly.

I have PCOS I’m not trying to get pregnant yet me and my fiancé are waiting for marriage . PCOS wrecked my reproductive system , gave me acne , weigh gain etc. now I included more meat and animal products . So now the acne is gone , I’m much less bloated , my hair and nails are better . I am so so happy

Wonderful interview! Just last week i found out I'm pregnant with number 4! My 2nd and 3rd were both animal based pregnancies (my first was almost 14 years ago before i knew a thing about nutrition at all) and ALSO nursing my 3rd kiddo still. I honestly dont think i wouldve been able to get pregnant so soon post partum (13 months) had i not been so consistently carnivore (95%+). Plan is to remain as close to 100% carnivore as i can for this baby! 🥰

Very interesting interview! After going on carnivore more and more I realize how many health problems are derived from plant food. My gran grandmother , grandmother and mother had breast cancer. I've already had removed benign breast tumor, shortly after two mioma uteri and realized I'm on the same pathway as they were ... Finally found carnivore and my health is improved very much! Great video Dr. Chaffee. ☺️👍🏻 I hope more people see this. I have always been suspicious of the plants being the cause of the increase of infertility, ovarian and uterine cysts, endometriosis, fibrocystic breast disease, cancers of breast/ uterine/ ovaries/ testicular, and low sperm counts, hormonal disfunction, and other issues that are causing people to not get pregnant! I also feel that is why people start to loose their born gender identity as a lady and man which is rising like crazy. Then the depression of people, and brain fog. Then I do believe this imbalance is causing the violence in the world and if everyone would just go carnivore, the human ancestral way of eating, that would all correct itself, all that mess! Illnesses, diseases, and cancers would go away. The loss of muscle mass as we age would go away, which would lead to less harm to older humans since their bones and muscles would be way stronger preventing fall injuries! They wouldn’t be falling period because their brains would be sharp as well! People would experience longevity. The world would eat less food and starvation would reduce because we eat less when eating meat! People would do more outdoor activities due to increased energy levels! So even if fewer restaurants, more outdoor sports could be done. The human brain would grow and that leads to increased scientific research and discoveries because humans would get even smarter and discover more advancements faster- no more brain fog or brain diseases! Maybe that would lead to finding more livable planets out there and tech to get there. The world would be a different place all together, a happier healthier place! Positive. ☺️ Carnivore diet is key! And we would have happy and healthier babies crawling around! All those humans that have had no luck getting pregnant, had miscarriages, low sperm counts, or children born with diseases, cancers, disabilities, even handicaps, that could all be preventable- all leading to diet! Plants are the cause of all this mess. Doesn’t matter if we eat plants as processed, or whole (cooked or raw) it damages the human body. Such an easy fix- anyone having problems- go on the carnivore diet!

I was told i had pcos over 7 years ago, had a miscarriage and have been searching/researching and trying things out over the past many years, and i just started carnivore, this is my 3rd week, mostly to get rid of all sugars and processed foods compeltely. It is simple for me as a good starting point. I am allowing small amounts of dairy (to help curb cravings for now) and some seasonings, but have already discovered some seasonings that upset my stomach that I was using frequently before. I enjoy gardening so will be using my garden to get home grown fruits and veggies and I will be able to see if some of my reactions are to the actual plant/fruit or to some of the fertilizers or pesticides beings used on those that i buy from the store. Plan to remain primarily carnivore, but it could be good to find certain fruit type things that I can eat during their season to help change things up in the summer and fall. Regardless, i plan on keeping myself on high fat and medium protein. I have already had major changes in the pain in my hands and feet, which is a huge deal for me, and already lost 10 pounds. I am hoping to have a couple more kids with my hubby soon (we have two which I adopted from his previous marriage), but I know my body needs to be ready first. Our kids are constantly begging for a baby brother or sister. Here's to hoping carnivore heals me.

I just wanted to say THANK YOU and share my progress. It was your video "Plants are trying to kill you!" that convinced me to start this. Day 64 on the carnivore diet. I started with ribeyes, eggs, ghee, and beef tallow, but since day 43 it has been only beef, salt and water for SIBO, histamine intolerance, leaky gut, and celiac Main symptoms were bloating (I didn't realize how bad until I started carnivore and now experience NONE) and rashes everywhere. I only eat at around noon and at about 6 pm, and total food for the day is around a kilo, or 2.2 lbs of beef. I don't snack and it is not a struggle at all, I really only start to feel hungry when lunch and dinner time are near. My rashes got much worse for the first 6-8 weeks, which is why I went strict beef, water, salt, to eliminate the possibility that eggs, ghee, or tallow was part of the problem still in my diet. Since I knew about oxalate dumping and the detox process I stayed the course. Today is the first day that it seems like I don't have fresh rashes and what is left is drying up and healing. 11 years living with this problem after strep throat and 2 rounds of antibiotics. I have never felt this good at any point in my life physically and mentally. Fitness and diet have been important for me since before the problems started, but the diet part I was getting wrong even though it was considered healthy. At about the 6 week mark I noticed that I felt stronger and more in control during my workouts than ever before. That hasn't stopped yet. I'm able to add extra weight to every workout, and I'm barely sore the day after. I can't believe the gains I'm making on this diet. I only take 4000 IU of vitamin D, and a few drops of iodine for supplements daily. When I started I weighed 165lbs (I'm 6 feet tall and 39 years old). Weight loss was not on the agenda, but I weighed myself today and I am 154lbs. 11lbs in 2 months. I can't even hide my abs if I tried, they just stick out all the time😂 Before I began carnivore, I started a treatment that a team of specialists made for me based on all the bloodwork and tests and was taking over a dozen supplements during each phase of treatment. The funny thing is, literally the first thing I was told was that I was eating TOO MUCH red meat! Now that is the only thing I eat! I don't even know how much I blew on supplements, but it was significant because I live in Latin America now and they aren't cheap to get here. What a waste of 2 years following the treatment. I plan on continuing the lions diet until my skin is completely healed. Then I will look at slowly adding more carnivore foods one at a time to the diet to make sure I tolerate them before permanently adding it. I might end up ketovore in the end because I'd love to add things like avocado, coconut and coconut water to my diet. Whatever I do, it will be a diet that keeps me in ketosis, because damn, I can't believe how good I feel on no carbs! I share my story only in hopes that it will give someone else who struggles with mysterious health problems the courage to give this diet an honest try. I'm convinced that anyone who does the diet for 6-8 weeks will realize that WE ARE CARNIVORES, or at the very least, ketovores, when times were tough and meat was hard to come by. Good luck to everyone on their journey to optimal health!

Awesome conversation!!! How I wish I knew ALL of this before having my 3 now adult children. Although it was a learning journey to now teach others, all the things we went thru finding son#2 was Celiac 20yrs ago, and all the other things we learned while eating Paleo...to me finally going Carnivore 4+yrs ago at age 65, wow. Life is a learning journey. Thankful I've always been open minded! And thankful I grew up on a farm, when animal protein was always the centerpiece of our meals. Unfortunately, it also included grains and veggies.😅 Not anymore! At least I ditched the grains years sgo.🥩💕

14:00, I used to hear that saunas were good for us, so I would spend a lot of time in the steam room, sauna, or take hot baths. Come to find out that I was cooking my eggs. I also used to run a lot, turns out that raises cortisol which is also bad for fertility. It's like we can't win. I tried so hard to eat healthy, even grew my own food, yet I was still wrong. At least I found out in time in order to have my babies and use this knowledge to take better care of them

A fantastic podcast. The only thing I disagree with is OMAD for people with gut issues, elite athletes and bodybuilders. 2 meals a day would likely give the body a better chance of absorbing all the nutrients. Also one large meal a day with lots of fat can be too much for some peoples gut to handle.

There is no "propaganda that you have to wait to be a mother". We are not dumb like boomers and want the best for our children's childhood and mental health. And we don't get the first wife beater man to marry just because society scolds you otherwise if you're not married at 20 - like we used to. Glad we can have choices now, therefore we get older until we feel our best for a family. . I personally never got children because i have too much trauma thanks too my parents' damage. And i want to be stable enough for a precious life and not cause the same damage. Wish many more would think that way about parenthood.
@itzakpoelzig330

Yeah, I think in most cases it truly is more responsible to wait to have kids, or never have kids. Most couples nowadays can't afford even a single child unless both parents work full time, and we know from Dr. Gabor Mate how harmful that kind of parental stress actually is to children. We think we're just "dropping them off at childcare" but the child interprets that as being abandoned, being unwanted, having no one they can rely on, etc., which can really mess a person up for life. Most people honestly shouldn't have kids, not because of Malthusian over-population concerns, but because most people are not emotionally and psychologically equipped to be good parents. The last thing we need is another generation of traumatized people raising yet ANOTHER generation of traumatized people.
@TehKarmalizer
@TehKarmalizer Жыл бұрын
I disagree. The message is strongly “Focus on you. Build a career. Kids can wait.” It’s not obvious that that is actually what is best developmentally or biologically. There are two sides to the message. The first is that children are a burden and weigh you down so you can’t pursue whatever you want. It’s a glorified excuse to prolong childhood and avoid one of the most meaningful roles a human can adopt. The second is the insistence on “readiness.” No one ever knows what that means. They are waiting for some arbitrary conditions that may never be met or a feeling that may never come. Or worse, come too late. Being older might in fact make you less ready rather than more. Which is why my wife and I are just having the one instead of two or three like we probably would have if we started younger instead of waiting until our 30s. I know you’re buying into the message, and that’s fine, but it isn’t for everyone, and it’s one of my biggest regrets.
@TehKarmalizer

@@itzakpoelzig330 costs are certainly a problem, but declining birth rates are going to be a problem for our species when we run out of labor force and skill pools diminish because our population plummets. It seems very naive to me to suggest people shouldn’t have children because it’s expensive. Might as well not take care of your health either. Too expensive. Regarding the bit about good parents. Life is hard, and we can make it better if we do the best we can with what our forebears have given us. I reject the idea that we ought to dispense with life because it isn’t all sunshine and rainbows.

I love when people bring up damage from parents when children are actually healing for the soul unlike anything else and although it’s hard they bring a pure sense of joy and love you never thought you’d ever feel, or when people bring up money and financial stability when folks in the Great Depression had like 7 kids and managed and people today moan about the cost of having a child. It’s actually laughable. You’re buying into propaganda and you don’t even know it.

Sorry to hear that! Make sure you are only eating meat and water, nothing else, and stop eating if meat stops tasting good. OUESTION: It's becomming more and more common that children at labor are grown so big that the mother can't give birth through her vagina, (and must have caesarean section for delivery)... - Are there any studies saying that KETO-/CARNIVORE-women more easily can give natural birth through the vagina ?
@kmontgomery3690
@kmontgomery3690 Жыл бұрын
That’s all just utter bullshit. It is not becoming more common - what makes you believe all this???? The hospital system fuels this lie purposefully, it’s a scare tactic done to increase induction/c-section rates, women are very capable of birthing naturally but hospitals have no respect or knowledge for physiological birth at all so they rush it causing more problems. Most times it is not the fault of the woman’s body but the fault of the providers sabotaging her labour and birth. It’s extremely rare for a woman to not be able to have a baby vaginally due to pelvis/baby head size. If the hospital staff were more educated of natural birth there wouldn’t be this issue! Women who have diabetes can grown bigger babies and that needs to be monitored or women who have a known issue with their pelvis that physically doesn’t allow natural delivery - but it’s very rare for a genuine case of babies not fitting.
@dixydarlin56
@dixydarlin56 11 ай бұрын
There's a lot more in play causing soaring C-section rates than large babies. That being said, chronic high blood sugar due to gestational diabetes does cause large babies, and keto diets pretty much preclude the possibility of chronic high blood sugar causing an overly large infant.😊

It is very easy to under eat on a carnivore diet because you're hunger signals will be much more subtle and so you need to go by taste. Keep eating fatty meet until it stops tasting good. If you finish your meal and the last bite still tastes good then you should cook more and keep going until you actually don't want it anymore. That's how you know you're full. You'll need to relax your hunger signals, and taste is the best way of doing that. Hey Dr. Chaffee, I came across a really interesting video regarding muscle cramps yesterday. The gentleman who made the video is an English doctor living in NSW, I believe. He came from a typical carnivore diet (eggs, butter, red meat, bacon etc.) but decided to do only ribeye for a month. After a couple of weeks he started having excruciating leg cramps and no matter how much he focused on making sure he was getting electrolytes and water, it didn’t help. Anyway his solution was interesting and I think your view would be interesting, because I understand you have said you only eat the muscle meat? I’ve link the video below if you’d like to view it. I want to show appreciation to you for this post. I went and looked at the video. Yes, he is long winded, lol. But, I have been through the same issues. I don't buy ribeye but I do adore chuck steak. I cook it up the same way and love it rare. When I do too much of it I will go through cramps. They do wake me up in the middle of the night. It happened to me just last week. I have used every kind of magnesium there is. At times it has helped and other times it didn't seem to even knock a dent in it. I have never found the solution really. I noticed most of the cramps are gone most of the time because I mostly eat ground hamburger. I love cheese and add it most of the time. I CRAVE cheese. Now watching this guy makes sense. And yes, there have been times when I actually craved liver. Maybe once a month. Here recently I have just focused on good quality burger without the cheese. That has went well without cramps. But if I chuck steak several nights I will wake up with cramps. I think the boron might be my final key. So again, thanks for posting this. I am going to give it a try. I also want to add, my energy has been kind of low for quite some time. I'm interested to see if adding boron will make a difference.
