At this point I don’t know what Chelsea are going to do next. Last season they finished 12th place in the Premier League, this season they’re currently in 9th place and all of this after spending over a billion dollars, paid over 100+ million on 2 midfielders and broke the premier league transfer record twice, have had multiple different managers and they look nothing more than a mid table club right now. Mauricio Pochettino yes it hasn’t worked out for him and he absolutely got his team wrong in the Arsenal game, but you can’t blame the loss or their entire problems solely on the manager. He walked into the mess that Todd Boehly created not him, by spending so much money on average and inexperienced players who don’t look cut out for the premier league and they’re literally on 10 year contracts meaning that if they perform badly, you can’t offload them because their transfer value will be less than half of what they paid for them. The same cycle at Chelsea is going to happen over and over again. They’ll sack the manager, overhaul the squad like last summer, spend more money on players, and the same thing will happen and I’m pretty sure that you get the whole gist. You can’t fix this team and as long as that American owner is there, this is how things will be for them in the next couple of years. Sometimes you’re better off giving the manager more time so that you don’t keep repeating the same mistakes, the problem is that Chelsea are a club that aren’t patient enough and as a result of this, different managers over the years have been unable to have proper longevity. Under Roman Abramovich, he had a ruthless approach at Chelsea especially when the team wasn’t performing well no matter how much success they had and constantly getting rid of managers worked especially since they had a plan and they knew what they were doing. Other than wasting money and creating an imbalance squad playing football manager, under this American owner, what’s their plan or strategy rebuild sign new players get a manager all to still be in the same mess. People can say that had they not had so many injuries in the last 2 seasons, they’d be higher in the table and while that’s a good point to consider, injuries aren’t an excuse for Chelsea especially with how much money they’ve spent in the last 18 months.
