The plaintiff hired and paid the defendant to install copper pipes in front of his home. On the day the work was to start, the plaintiff says the defendant sent three guys who dug and filled a hole in the wrong area of his yard. The defendant then told the plaintiff he didn’t need the pipes, so the plaintiff is suing for a refund. The defendant claims the plaintiff just paid him a deposit, and even though there was no need for copper pipes, his men still performed work.

@roxane7432 , yes and in Tenn. you go to jail for 3 days with no bond. It just happened when my granddaughter went to court over child support and the baby daddy didn't know when to shut his mouth like this guy here. Oh, he's crying to his moma because he ended up getting maced and put on the wall. Sometimes people need to learn to watch their mouth.

Yes that’s true. But there should be some grace for those who are not as articulate. As someone who works as a public service employee I deal with this every day. You catch more bees with honey. I wanted JM to let both litigants speak without interrupting them.

That defendant looked like the type of craftsman that can do his thing blindfolded, with one arm tied behind his body. He just looked "seasoned." When I purchased my first car, I had the fortune of finding a mechanic like that.

Wow - yes! That was my comment, too. How did the defendant not get a sense of this in the first 2 minutes speaking to him. The contractor should never have agreed to do the job for this guy - it was 'preordained'...there was going to be a problem with this customer, no matter what the workers said or did.

The plaintiff is an angry man...licensed plumbers are reasonable and $125 an hour for their expertise is worth paying cause if their repairs fail they will come back and fix the issue.

We all want the plaintiff to be punished for behaving badly but the producers of the show probably LOVE when people do stuff like that, a little shock value makes for interesting television. Now if he did something that made the case unusable on TV they might not pay for your plane ticket back home.

I actually agree that the judge needs to take her own advice and hit her pause button. Some of the time they were trying to talk over her but some of the time she asked him a question and then didn't let them respond. She didn't used to be so damn impatient. I get that some of these litigants push anybody's buttons, but if you ask a question, at least shut up and give them a chance to answer.

Just wow... This guy is the sort who gets out of his car and shoots up your family because he got a bit of road rage, if he can't even manage to control himself at a hearing, he's going to wind up in a very bad place. For his sake, the sake of his family, and the sake of those around him I hope he gets the support and help he needs to deal with his anger without taking it out on inanimate objects and the people around him.

$1500 for digging up the pipes and sounded like replaced a valve, what a deal. If the pipes are already copper and in good condition, why replace them. This plaintiff was looking for a quick scam, they didn't replace the copper pipes so give me back my money. The plumber got permits and did part of the job and saved you money by not screwing you. What a jerk.

Why would you change lead pipes?!? The judge who brags about her contractor family doesn't know about lead poisoning from old lead pipes? Or just as a person who has lived for 61 years how can you not know this and your a judge.
