GETTING STUCK ON AN ELEVATOR at the Pink Shell Resort-Fort Myers Beach FL

This was my first time getting stuck on an elevator! It occurred at the Pink Shell Resort in Fort Myers Beach FL. To get me out, they reset the elevator which made the panel go blank and come back on. Along with that, the elevator jolted a few inches to the nearest floor.

if i would be stuck in here i would not be scared, but the first time i got stuck was in an elevator for disabled people and i had to be home in 20 mins so

This same thing happened to me! Literally the same exact situation except the panel was off for about 8 minutes and then they reset it and I was fine. I was at the sandpearl hotel (which is near this one)

The reason why is due to priority technology. Older models usually tend to keep buttons illuminated and called on (aka meaning in between floors the elevator can malfunction or worse lose control if its putting weight to get to the floor), but newer models tend to have an automatic STOP procedure when even the slightest of a bump occurs to prevent it from pushing itself to a floor. No lights showed up, and they just dimmed out, so they didn't receive the call. There is no other way to stop this procedure then escaping the elevator or until the elevator gets reset. Sometimes its just something in the way, so it starts moving again, others is times where the strings or counterweight receives a obstacle. Although pressing all the buttons is not safe, he did not have them call.

Yes. It’s really popular in the UK so if you’re in the UK a lot you would hear it but what are the odds you are there a lot
