Rob and I are out crushing it today on a Sunday, trying to get all of our work done before GIE+EXPO 2021! We are tackling most of our commercial lawns today and then trying to bring up some of our Tuesday residential route to Monday.
The interesting thing about our Monday route is the fact that we need 2 mowers to get things done as fast as possible. I reached out to my friend Brett and was able to borrow his SCAG V Ride 2 for the day. This brings back memories from my demo 4 years ago!

Congratulations to you and the family!! Be proud of what you’ve accomplished. Your an inspiration to not only me but many others in the industry. This was my first full year out on my own and I’ve learned a great deal from watching your videos and can’t thank you enough for putting in the time and the effort to make them and give back to the industry. Hard to beat that Velocity deck. Not much you can criticize about a V-Ride II. The new 37 HP is amazing.

Even in this video you can see how well the V-Ride II cuts and clean on 1st pass with leaves and grass compared to ExMark. Switched from ExMark to Scag over 15 year's ago and haven't looked back. I run all V-Ride now and cut in Pa where the grass is thick and heavy and the Scag is a time saver and more of my fellow lawn care buddies have also dropped ExMark and switched to Scag.. Just can't top that Velocity plus deck in the morning wet. Thanks for the video

I bought my vride 2 with the 37hp and it is an absolute beast of a mower it will cut anything I love it and stripes are incredible

Great video Brian, at least the mower came with a chute blocker 😂 , love the mowing vlog! Scans are heavy but they are built like tanks plus you can’t turn down their cut quality!

The vride got the best cut. Brian, prove me wrong. Scag got the best deck. I run grasshopper. I've mowed exmark, hustler, big dog, john deere (got a 36 stander), and Wright. Scag by far throws clippings the most gracefully I've ever seen.

In dry grass Exmark is the best imo. In wet grass SCAG and then Exmark is #2!

I picked up my 61 inch vride 2 about 2 months ago. Things a beast. I got it with the 38.5 hp kawasaki fx1000. Was torn between that and the 61 inch z3x but the scag was the first to come available

Brian beggers can't be choosers..lol I demoed a VR2 (52) when they first came out. Great cut especially in the thick wet grass but it was very under powered (23hp). Definitely a nice mower. Congrats on the new home. Well deserved. 😎👍

We have the Vride2 with the 37hp briggs efi. It does have a little more vibration than normal, but it's not bad.

I put a 40 gallon transfer tank in my trailer and put some old 3/4 plywood around for a little extra protection. We fill up once a week and have one 5 gallon mix can and a 2.5 gallon can of shame for anyone who dies on a lawn. I run 52’s vride2 and tiger cat 2 with bagger and plenty of room. I wish the 37 was available when I got mine, i have the 25 kohler efi on both machines. Running a vride 2 with mulching blades and advanced chute blocker. Had hurricane mulch kit but it was holding me back on some of my larger properties. If you have a bunch of small ones that dont have excessive growth, hurricane mulch kit is ok but the chute blocker makes that machine very versatile for me.

I had the Toro 4000 pro with the kawasaki 25.5hp( wish I had the 31 though) traded in for the 2021 Scag vride 2 52 with the vanguard 37hp with the twin bagging system. No bogging at all great cut, with the belt driven twin bagging system the discharge opening is reduced big time though, puts down great stripes and disperses grass clippings even with bagging and deck baffle off

@@jronmanlawn yes there is a mount and belt you can take off, blower can come off but for the vride2 there are two bolt on deck baffles that comes off for factory large discharge opening

IMO, yes. But also depends on the type of grass you will be mowing. The 37 as of yet hasn’t shown any hesitation.

I have a 25hp efi and I wish the 37 was available and I will be going to that when its time to upgrade that machine, it could use the power in thick turf or tall grass in the rapid growing part of the season

Tough love for scag on wet grounds, they’re so heavy they’ll push down the grass pretty bad. Other than that pretty badass mowers can’t beat the stripes.

I know how much you love exmarks. But if you put the ultra cut side by side with the velocity deck on normal grass, can you tell a difference between the two as far as the cut quality? I'm waiting until the first of the year to buy mine. I thought I had my mind made up for the tiger cat. But now I'm thinking about the lazer s or a 4000 series toro

Hey I got a question maybe you can help with. First year here in MA doing lawn maintenance and trying to decide when my cutoff should be for mowing? Like at what point do I say ok that’s enough, and wait for all the leaves to drop and start cleanups. Seems like it would be pretty simple answer, but I’m struggling on what to do. The grass is still growing but has slowed down quite a bit.

Hey Brian, I am starting up as a solo operator next year and a 2010 Exmark Lazer Z HP 52" came up for sale for about $4,000 locally, with 720hrs and is in excellent condition. Didn't know how much it would be worth, or if its a good investment?

I was working on Sunday because of GIE also. lol Also why do you guys usually mow with the bar down on the mowers above your head? Aren't you supposed to use the riding mowers with those bars raised?
