Update : This video is years old so both hamsters have sadly passed away. But I ended up naming the grey hamster Cashmere. For those of you saying that hamsters are solitary that’s not 100% true for all species. The type I got were Russian hybrids. Sometimes they do well together sometimes they don’t. I done my research before getting them and I placed them in a big cage with two of everything to reduce fighting. After a few months I did separate them. I wouldn’t recommend getting hybrid pairs like I did unless you know what you’re doing. The best hamster to house in a pair or a small group are Campbell’s. You can only get these pure breeds from a breeder. They do incredibly well together because they are social animals. They also live together in the wild.

I have two male roborovski hamsters that I bought from Pets At Home - they’d been living together for months before and I bought them together and I wasn’t told at the time that they would need to be separated when they were older (first time owner). They lived together for a couple months and then one attacked the other a couple months ago and nearly killed him- he was left with a giant bloody open wound on his back. We separated them straight away and they are now both living happily separately, luckily the one that was attacked survived and all his fur has grown back and he is happy and healthy 🙃 point of this comment- always do your research and ask questions and ALWAYS have a backup cage on hand!

oh my goodness, they're so cute! i really want a dwarf hamster after this! i used to have two guinea pigs quite a while ago but sadly they passed away.... and life with a little pet to care for is so much better than a life without one!

I’m not allowed a hamster but I’m trying to persuade my parents to let me😢 I don’t think they’ll let me but I’m doing loads of research so if I can get one I will get the cage ready and all of the accessories ready, the earliest i would be able to get one is in August😒 let’s just hope😄🤞🏼

I remember when I was little I had a hamster and I love taking care of it sadly it died while we were moving but it is a long life and I've been asking my parents for one after a few years(2-3-4?) now seems to be going good might be getting a Hamster soon! Just got to get Dad on board! Moms a OK!

crazeh glare hi I wasn't allowed a hamster but this is how I got my mum to say yes: Say you will clean them out at soon as they get dirty or stinky Say it's your responsibility and you will do everything you can for it And last but not least say a load of facts so it proves you have done research Hope it helps xxxx

I've had a pair of Robo dwarfs, usually i noticed they tend to go to the same food bowl but also i have experienced that one of the hamsters became mean to the other and didn't let him eat and was very violet to the other which resulted to me having to split them because of this problem so I suggest making sure to have a spare cage in case one starts being violent to the other because hamasters don't always get along once they are older.

I have 2 hamsters the biggest I could get them was each a 40 gallon Breeder tank and it’s 650 square inches which is over the limit! I’m super happy with it and I love your channel so much! You inspire me! ❤️ I have a female Long hair syrian hamster and a male Russian Dwarf Hamster And NO they DONT share cages they each have there own 🥰😘

what bedding do you use for your dwarfs. i dont really want paper bedding cuz its a little expensive than the wood so i tried aspen, but it seems unvomfortable. but i would still like a wood based bedding. ik cedar and pine arent good for them, but what ones (besides aspen) are good for them?

I got the big jars from the pound shop the small ones with the pink lids are from tiger and the other smell jars are from ikea x

I love your videos because you know what your doing with the hamsters. Like the cage size and stuff. I see videos with people getting hamster cages that are wayy to small. 🐹❤️
