The take on Monet dealing with Zion in the past and Cain being his real father and Tariq and Cain being cousins has really got me to thinking. They twist may work but is messy as all get out because Diana even though her and Cain would be half siblings because of Monet, it’s messy because her and Tariq’s child would be a nephew and / 2nd cousin for Cain. People want there to be a Ghost connection with every new character. There's no Ghost connection between Zion and Ghost as relatives. The only connection is he knew of Ghost from the streets. Zion may be a part of the Jamaican crew from the original power but they're not relatives.

I was always skeptical about Ghost a Kanan and figured that they might be somehow related unknowingly to one another. It wouldn’t be far fetched for Tariq to be related to Cane and highly likely that Zion is Ghost’s brother because very few people know Ghost is James St. Patrick 🤔

It didn't seem forced or overly contrived just happenstance because not even Davis knew of the potential connection. I think some of us were thinking that the Detective would be the main nemesis or new intriguing character this season. I think the real question is how did Cane get in the Fight Club scene.
