I have no copyrights for the music used, linked below…and KZfaq automatic upload. I use it to promote the great John Wayne movie “The Horse Soldiers” of 1959 as a tribute of the great actor John Wayne.

Now that Sir, is a seriously impressive jacket! Coincidentally was watching the 1993 Gettysburg film the other week. Amazing acting from some excellent actors and shows the horrors and humanities of both sides. Jeff Daniels deserved an Oscar for his portrayal of Joshua Chamberlain of the Union. Highly recommended for those that haven’t seen it. Great vid as always 🎉

The coat makes me think Easy Rider or Davey Crockett and Daniel Boone TV shows!🤠 That jacket is what men would really want to wear if men's fashion designers would actually ask real men what they want to wear. Thanks Lester Elaine and I are doing well. Love your amazing review on Gettysburg tobacco with peach topping and the cob. Looks like one of my Forever stems. It is red or dark orange ripple? Always enjoy a Smokeless Pipe breathing session when watching your fabulous reviews with a touch of history. Some I've seem several times. One of of my favorites, your Comparison of Captain Black vs Royal, so calming. Love historical movies, Patriot, Waterloo, Gettysburg, Great Escape, Longest Day, Valkyrie, etc. Love John Wayne in The Quiet Man, love the scenic Irish country, the fight scene, fishing streams, romance, and the pipers in the pub drinking their favorite brew. Don't smoke as you know but enjoy Smokeless Piping session while watching Redcoat. Anyway, God's blessings my dear friend, stay well with good health and long life. Tell Stefanie hi.

Great stuff - as always! And you’re speaking my language too - American civil war and John Wayne! Horse Soldiers is one of my all time favorites - even with all of its historical inaccuracies and terrible uniforms/costumes! Meerschaum, briar, cherry and clay pipes were all widely used during that period. Clay pipes - as you might imagine - were easily and cheaply made, sold in bulk and frequently discarded and/or broken during the rigors of campaign and camp life. Cheers!

Excellent video Lester, enjoyed greatly all the added content and character. I toured Gettysburg Battlefield in 1969 with my Dad and Brother, I was only 15 at the time but it had such an impact on the way I viewed America and the tides of war. Thanks for re-stirring those memories of that time period with my Dad. We toured all of the major Civil War Battle fields over a 3 year time period, it was priceless. Also very encouraging on the Tabaco, I'm not of fan of the peach fruity flavoring and plan to try Sherman's March for a casual kick back smoke. Thanks so much again for a great video, Take Care and God Bless

But I haven't won the Oscar 😅🤣. The last great Hollywood production were I have participated was "Allied" with Brat Pitt. There you can see me from behind (with my bald head👴🏼) like a German Officer sitting on a table near Bratt Pitt before he killed another German Officer with a bread in a telephone box in a bar😁. On another street scenery I am too near by a car of the German Embassy 😄, with a German Staff Uniform. The parts of Morocco/Casablanca was made here on the Island 😃. Hollywood and other countries shoot lot of films here. It's cheaper for the productions 👋🏻

Our Captain of the Trans-Mssissippi Rifles CS-US Infantry in Oklahoma was the Sergeant Major, Drill Master for the Confederate Infantry on God's and Generals training the Army in battalion level drill making them look sharp in the field and on parade. Lynn Shacklefield was an Army lieutenant then an Air Force National Guard Colonel. In real life he was the CO at Tinker Air force until he retired. He memorized and could interprete all the period tactic manuals.

@@Pfeifenraucher_der_Insel BTW: My claim for fame is I was in Red River Campaign #1 back in March 1994. A Hardcore event. We were an Army on the March in Medich's Battalion, Wilson Company CSA Infantry marching from Natchitoches Louisiana to Pleasant Hill Louisiana almost 100 miles in six days. As rear guard on the longest March day we marched way more than the 20-25 miles often at the double quick. The first day I was on my feet for 20 hours then walked a beat on guard duty from 4:00am to 6:00am in the mist and fog while it was spitting snow. A quick breakfast then marched our longest March. Hypothermia at night then heat stroke during the day on blistered feet. There has been 3 or 4 of these marches later but I was told #1 was the toughest. Reenacteers today don't know about Reenactment history and never even heard about those events and what it means to see this old man wearing an old Red River Campaign "SURVIVOR" T-shirt at reenactments! Telling stories of the event they just look at you dumbfounded.

My favorite book on the battle of Gettysburg is the historical novel "Killer Angels" by Michael Shaara. It was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for fiction in 1975. Good afternoon Lester, excellent video and tobacco review. John Wayne the Duke was in my opinion probably the best actor that ever came to our screens. Take care and have a great weekend.

Good morning Lester excellent outfit and everything linked together. So those matches there is a possibility you could strike that match on an unshaven face? 😉 You r certainly been on some adventures

Thanks Bob my’ol mate 😄👍👍 I have nit enough stubble on my chin…my likes a smooth face….so I strike on the floor, the wall or in the strip on the packet too 😄 I was wearing that buckskin at the OK Corral in Tombstone in 1881…if I rightly remember…on the afternoon of October 26th…just to make sure that Wyatt Earp survived…I had to use my Bowie knife after my Colt was empty…but….my dear friend….that’s another story…for another day 😉💨💨💨

Gettysburg…there’s a name to reflect on. I once met an old lady whose father was aide-de-camp to Gen Robert E. Lee…but that another story. The tobacco sounds really nice & flavoursome. Horse Soldiers is a legendary film with John Wayne in his prime…everybody’s hero. You nearly got his inflection right in your ‘petunias’ impression 😉. The old hotel looks an amazingly atmospheric place to stay. You knocked it out of the park agai my old mate Bravo 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Maybe I should revisit this one. The sample I had didn’t have much peach aroma…might have been old.

That could be…Ethan…my dear friend….my pouch had the right moisture….just a short dry…to lite it up…Sometimes there are variations batch-to-batch as well. I just ordered a tub….as I love a good peachy 🍑 flavour….maybe you give it another try 🤔 😄😉💨💨💨

Hi Lester. I saw your latest video. my opinion, and mine alone, seeing the photographs of the Northern soldiers, they smoke pipes with long stems. they are German or Austrian pipes. even my grandfather, here in northern Italy, often smoked them. did you get the Club of London Savinelli pipe? HI. I'm waiting for your videos thanks.

Mario…thanks four comment 😊👍👍 That could be…for the long-stemmed pipes…indeed 😊 Yes, I got my PCoL Savinelli pipe…after this Brigadier Black series…I‘ll make a video about that pipe. There‘s 2-3 reviews already on KZfaq about that pipe…Simon, London Calling is one you can see already 😉💨💨💨💨

You…mean… 1883 November 12 Cattlemen meet in Gainesville to work out an end to the Fence-Cutting War….Yes…I remember that time 😉 My Tardis has problems to split time-space to get energy it needs… I had to give the singularity back to CERN….it was still not enough fir my ambitions if my Tardis. Soon….soon..I will have…infinite energy for my Tardis…by splitting time-space…as Nikolas Tesla predicted in 1940…then…I’ll see you…in 1883…my dear friends….or maybe in 2024…in Switzerland here 😄😆😁😉💨💨💨💨
