The 'Gold-Flange' parts with the black ribbed lower sleeve and gold ringed switch is possibly the single best looking of ALL the lightsabers you can build from ANY set! 8:50 Also great looking, though a great deal more understated than the beautiful (but let us be honestly, kinda gaudy) 'Gold-Flange' style. Though I would have swapped out the pommel too. 10:36 Very nice! Even though the sleeve with the 'writing' on it and the activation plate with the arrowhead switch are my least favorite from this set, by no means do they look BAD. 11:02 A little more stylish. Not a grand improvement though. 11:37 My only complaint is that it's hard to tell which end of the lightsaber is supposed to by the pommel and emitter. The notch on the switch is he only clue. 12:10 My previous complaint, but doubled. Which end is which? It still LOOKS wonderful though. 14:11 Slightly blander than 8:50, but still looks pretty nice. 15:38 That's a decent design right there. I just like some of the others better. 15:59 Again, a little more stylish, but not a grand improvement. 16:56 That's really good, but I do like 7:00 with the black ribbed lower sleeve better. 17:57 Another double-ended lightsaber, but in this case it's on purpose with a 'custom' duplicate piece. Looks really good, but you can't build it at Savi's. Protection and Defense is by far my favorite out of all four styles of build-it-yourself lightsabers. I think the reason is simple: you can't build a bad-looking lightsaber. Every single piece, even if picked at random, will look good assembled. Go ahead and try it! Close your eyes and let a friend hold out the components in order in their open hands and blindly grab one, then install it onto the chasis. First switch, lower sleeve, upper sleeve, emitter, and pommel. It. Will. Look. Fine.

15:59 is the design I created at Savi’s Workshop last week, I love it! I want to order a white or yellow Kyber crystal for it to go along with the purple crystal that called to me during the build, and a belt clip for cosplay lol.

16:47 is literally my build with the other pommel. It was what spoke to me, along with the violet crystal.

I appreciate these videos that show all the parts and various combinations. The build at 12:10 is what I had in my head when I first saw this set and after seeing it put together here, I'm certain that's how I will build mine. Keep these great videos coming bro.

I just recently found your Savi's lightsaber build reviews, and decided to watch them since I will be going there about a week from now. I gotta say, that after seeing all the options, I definitely like this one the best, because it is very Art Deco, and I've been into Steampunk & Dieselpunk for a large part of my life, so this one definitely speaks to me.

14:10 is the exact design I had planned. Yellow blade. My favorite color is blue, but for whatever reason I've always preferred yellow sabers

When I build this, I think I'll use the ribbed hilt section (the one that looks similar to Luke's episode 6 saber) on top close to the emitter, the flat emitter and pommel and the flattened section for the handgrip as well as the ribbed sections for the emitter switch with a blue kyber crystal.

Honestly, Elemental Nature really suits me. Because I like the feeling of being one with the elements and one with the force. Along with having a green kyber crystal with it. Cause the green along with the brown leathers go well together. 🥰💚💚

The next two kyber crystal colours confirmed are ORANGE/AMBER and TEAL/LIGHT BLUE. No word on when. And no word on associated voice lines. There is a method to reprogram existing crystals to make you lightsaber light up orange or teal. If you have any extra crystals and you want me to do that for you let me know.

15:39 is pretty much the saber I want to build, but with the teardrop switch. I’m going with a purple kyber because I share a birthday with the BMF. I was supposed to go this past December, but things didn’t pan out due to scheduling and a new job opportunity. My friends and I are now trying to plan a trip as a group with a Batuu Bound for either this year or the following.

I'm studying up cause I'm going in April with friends.

I definitely like elemental nature the best, but I think this would be my second. the other two are too basic, and I like the old republic. high republic style this has, with the flashy gold, copper, and silver. It definitely is artistic like the high republic era lightsabers would be. They wiped out the sith as far as they knew and started getting creative with there lightsabers, that is why a "3" bladed lightsaber came to be. And they also had a handguard made of metal. But I think that this would definitely be my second choice, and f I go back and get another one, I will get that one.

The one at 12:10 is what I would make, having the rings on top make it easy to grip on top for doing circular one hand flourishes with the bottom of the hilt counter balancing the weight of the blade. You can see Obi Wan do the flourish I'm talking about in the phantom menace

This set is the one that feels like it can go with any kyber crystal. It can go with blue and green as a standard Jedi blade, it can go with purple as a Mace homage, it can go with white or yellow to get an Old Republic feel, or it can even go with red to pay homage to Darth Sidious. I don't think any of the other sets can really do that (except maaaaaaybe Peace and Justice), so that's why I think Protection and Defense is the best.

My design would be Protection & Defence with I Pronged Cap, the grooved grip on bottom, the tear-shaped switch, the sleeve with the gold spike designs on top, and the emitter with the leaf. With a white or red Kyber crystal.

Just built the Protection and Defense at WDW. Love it. Mine was 15:58, but with the other switch. I choose the green crystal since I didn't have a green saber yet, but I bought a yellow and I think it fits better and I love the sound. When I built mine, P&D was the most popular in the group, followed by Elemental and Nature; Power and Control and Peace and Justice were tied. There was one person in my group that had the exact same saber and crystal combo as me lol. I definitely want to build another!

I might like protection and defense more. The color is reminding me of Obi-Wan’s Phantom Menace saber if I went with protection and defense, I would not have the fancy in pieces. Probably the sleeve with the bumps near the bottom then the one with the gold dots in writing near the top.

I am so torn!! The very first piece of scrap metal that spoke to me was the leather strap sleeve from the "elemental nature" set, but none of the other sleeves in that set are that good (and the pamuls are both pretty meh). Depending on the loose scrap metal policy when I visit I may build a saber from this set, then get that sleeve separate...

the saber at 14:10 is what i would go with, only i would probably swap the top sleeve with the black stripe ridged sleeve, and i would swap the activation plate.

If I went to Galaxy’s Edge and built my own saber, the hilt would look exactly like the one at 7:03, but I’d probably choose a green kyber crystal for the blade instead of a purple one.

i like the top half of the saber at 10:27. i'd probably go for the other activation plate though. i think it might also look good if you took the top sleeve and moved it to the bottom, and replaced the sharp yellow angled sleeve with the black striped sleeve on top.

i got my pieces off ebay i have the power and control emitter (red stripe) the protection and defense copper ring sleeve, power and control switchplates (red stone), elemental leather wrapped sleeve, and the black peace and justice D-ring with a white kyber crystal almost wish there was a 5th choice of styles so i could have a real Frankenstein

I probably would’ve gone with the power and control. With the rough sleeve on top and the piece with the three sideways holes on the bottom. Similar to Obi-Wan’s saber

I think what's going on with the scrap metal is that not enough copies of these pieces have been produced yet and because a bunch of collectors are buying out all these pieces and as a result not allowing people visiting that part of Disney World or Disney Land to build their sabers as some do need to be saved for Savi's workshop. So for right now they are trying to meet demand.

i think the combination at 10:40 is my favorite so far after watching the peace and justice, power and control, and this video. the thing that makes this difficult is that i do not live near there. if i do ever get a chance to do this, it's gonna make the choice that much harder. i would love to see protection and defense mixed with peace and justice. i think there are some interesting combinations there maybe?

I’d have two sabers from this set with yellow blades and the uppers would be my friend’s custom 3d printed ones. (Uppers are the top sleeve and emitter in my opinion)
