Dude! Thank you so much for this. I’m even later than for the MF party 🤓 My 50S and a 32-64mm lens should be on the way shortly. Can’t wait to get out there with them!

That's awesome congrats on the buy! That lens looks like an excellent optic hope you get many awesome shots with it! Let me know how it is, I have still yet to get any native glass for mine!

I own 4 GFX bodies. 2 x GFX50s, 50sll and 100S. The GFX 50S has incredible dynamic range and amazing output. I really love the ergonomics. It is a thoroughly modern camera for a MF format. As good or better than the 102MP counterpart. Used for VOGUE, Harper's BAZAAR, ELLE, etc. Great camera. I do have the tilt viewfinder adapter and it comes in handy at times.

I tried the new 100sII but returned it because I like the image quality of the 50 better. I will keep using the 50 MP sensor for sure.

Thanks for the review. How well does your Mamiya glass work on your 50s?

The Manual focus M645 lenses work well! I have used the 80mm F1.9, the 55mm F2.8 primarily. The AF stuff I haven't bothered mounting since the aperture is electronically controlled and the MF rings aren't as nice to use.

What's the best focal length with medium format, when 8 used FF, i mainly shoot primes, 24, 35, 85 and 50 sometimes.

Personally for me I tend to like things a bit away from 50mm now so my 40mm and 35 almost permanently lives on my GFX it gives a full frame equivalent of about 32mm or 28mm respectively. The other focal length I do like is 100mm giving 80mm equivalent FOV. Those are my personal favs. There are EF lenses that adapt well to GFX in that range the Canon 40mm F2.8 EF pancake, Tamron 35mm f1.8 SP VC and the Canon 100mm macro.
