GG-1'S and E-8's at South Amboy Part 3 , video by Al Fontana

4 жыл бұрынSome footage at South Amboy in the summer of 1983 by Al Fontana. The GG-1's were running out their final days before being replaced that fall by former Amtrak E-60's that are already showing up in the video. The NJ Transit E-8's would only last a few more years before also being retired. A big thanks to Al Fontana for having the foresight to record these images.

Thanks for the video, and having it in the correct aspect screen shape for the time period... Also I think the #4876 GG-1 was the one painted in a special way in 1975-1976, bicentennial red white and blue.

Thank you and R.I.P., Tom Gagliano. A great NJ Republican who got NJT into existence - up, and, running. These are terrific videos and were good days when all of this was real.
