Really funny since I think n0ne did the exact same ender in a previous set. Believe puff can't meteor cancel if she has not used a double jump before getting hit lol...one of those weird melee things.

funny thing is in the post commentary they said they thought the set was over, and were purposely playing up falcon just to make it a better watch spectator wise. they had no expectations n0ne would actually win, making that moment so much more shocking to them

That ending is one of those moments you just find yourself rewinding over and over and over to witness it one more time. One of the all-time most shocking/exciting moments in melee history, right up there with Wombo Combo and "Did he just WALK UP and DOWN SMASH?" I wouldn't be surprised if 10 years from now we still hear players quote "Captain Falcon is a very explosive character" or "NO WAY, THE DOUBLE-JUMP DOWN AIR" For what it's worth I feel a similar way about J-walking and Jmook's tourney run in general. This tournament will have a much bigger life beyond just 3 days in California in the middle of April.

I think none's gamestyle was very well explained in his guardians "wildcard" video. When talking about a non god beating a god, Toph said "at the same time, if anyone was going to do it, it would be someone who breaks all the rules". And that is exactly what none does. He plays the game with such disregard for the rules....that it works. Dude is a madman who slays gods.

Hbox exhausted himself by playing through Ultimate bracket (to appease his Twitch fans). That cost him game 5, and created his own Armada moment where he could've won Genesis if he stayed in Winner's Bracket. Would've only had to beat Zain instead of meeting his nemesis iBDW.
