Here goes the little sister of "The Eagle". Built from parts I had lying around. Body: most likely poplar, maple neck and fretboard.
Wilkinson Vintage 60s Pickups.
And of course the theme of "American Wildlife" shows up again. Enjoy.

I think guitar manufacturers should be very concerned with this competition. I think it's only a matter of time before the GGBO turns into an annual showcase where you can buy or commission a guitar from an independent hobbyist or someone who is just cracking into guitar making out of their home workshops. Simply amazing what a simple tele kit can turn into! Bravo!

The mosaic lamination you put on the top looks impressive. Very attractive guitar. The neck pickup ring almost disappears completely with the matching lamination that you have on the body top. Making the back and edges the dark color works well with the top. I also liked the head stock treatment you did for your logo design.

Of course. last year, I saw some amazing innovative guitar designed. It seemed to me (just my opinion of course. No disrespect intended to any builder.) the guitar that won, with all the lights & gadgetry, was more of a novelty. But It certainly was interesting. Your choice of the Telecaster body style on your Eagle was perfect (but I am a Teleophile, if indeed that is the proper term🤣. I think they're the perfect design.) Cheers & Blessings & good luck in the GGBO. Again you made my little Jayla's day.(She was named by her Aunt, neither her Grandmother nor I thought much of the name, UNTIL I looked up the meaning. It's an Americanized version of Yaala a Hebrew name that means "To ascend of Ascending". You know I LOVED the name after that.) That's a Beautiful job You've Done there... I only wonder. If you aren't constrained by Four existing neck bolt holes. Why you didn't use the comfort Fender neck heel plate. I have that on my '89 Strat. And an extra from a Squire Showmaster .. so much more comfortable to play with the inset (offset) hole and rounded heel

Some lovely marquetry, nice touch on the headstock and like the matching neck pickup cover, can't go wrong with a classic tele 🙂 Where did you get your knobs?

Gabriele the back looks great. Is that Ash you are using?All your wotk is good but I don't like this one . I have been making Telecasters since 1980. The headstock shape is great. You always make good guitars.

Can I enquire as to what buffer number you use and what compound? I can't get my frets to look that good. Braw work again, loved the moon flip, genius.

I'm afraid, I can't answer that. I use 600 - 1500 wetsanding papaer first, then steel wool and then the Dremel but I have not idea to what the number of the polishing compound is. I use up what I have here at home...

Hi Gabriele, nice job once again. How many coats of Tru-Oil did you use, it looks a bit glossy, did you mix it with something or is it just Tru-Oil ? Thanks

If you want it glossier, then you mix some mineral spirits into the last coat and let it harden horizontally.

Finest quality work-as usual but I am afraid that I really dislike the shape of the Telecaster-to my eye, it looks like some teenagers first attempt at guitar-building with the neck in particular seemingly modelled on a Football sock hanging on a washing line! In stark contrast, I believe that the Stratocaster is THE quintessentially Classic Electric Guitar design and i will always love it -hard to believe that it's is around 70 years old! I enjoy seeing you work and perhaps one day, I may attempt to make my very own guitar and will look to you videos for guidance!

Confident opinion based on very little information. You have obviously not seen the full builds Gabriele has done, nor understand that the GGBO has a kit build section that is supplied by the competition host.
