My girl Trina served today. She voiced what she felt and she made sure Spencer acknowledged and verbally stated what he did wrong here.

The look that Trina gave Spencer when he offered for Esme to eat with them was reading the room and I loved every minute of it . Her directness with Spencer was spot on. The new writers are stepping up.

This would’ve been a great opportunity for Spencer to take Trina out on the town or plan a romantic picnic for just the two of them. But what does he do? He chooses to go with an at-home dinner date knowing they won’t have any privacy and Esme is under the same roof. He gives her the doves but doesn’t even say “I love you” yet. Free my sis Trina from the struggle love 😭😭

Can they stop with the insinuation . Why couldn’t Spencer tell Esme the dinner wasn’t for her? Using Esme as angst for sprina is not working. Im glad Trina finally told Spencer she doesn’t like him spending his time with Esme yet how dump is Spencer not realizing how his behaviour towards Esme affects his girlfriend.

This needed to happen.Notice Spencer is right away checking to see if 'Fatal Attraction's at home which proves he's both uncomfortable around her yet tolerates her for the sake of Ace. It's also telling how highly toxic their relationship was which is why he's afraid of how she'll respond if he tells her no. It's no different from Portia's histrionic theatrics which is used to control those around her and how they respond. That's how Esme was in that relationship. It's called walking on eggshells. With that said, I need to see more of Trina speaking up;not only to Spencer, but her mother as well. Her need to please is rooted in how she was raised.

Fact is Trina has been more upset than happy since getting with short tempered Spencer. Ive lost count of how many times he has disappointed her and then apologised, then done it again. He is doing the bare minimum and that is nothing to applaud. Inviting a girl who committed heinous crimes against his then friend/now gf and his bestfriends for a dinner 😳😤🤯extremely careless and a lack of respect for Trina. Hoping for better writing for these two characters or jus set Trina free.

So upon watching this for the hundredth time I noticed Spencer does not talk about Trina to Esme. When asked where he was he said he went for a swim. I think this may be intentional. He also checked to see where Esme was before setting up for his date. If he's trying to once again keep Esme from Trina we need that POV . The problem is the writers have isolated him so much he has no one to confide in . He needs a guy friend

This was nice but Spencer's error was snacking over his grandma's place. Should have taken Trina out as Rory did. Esme thought as Trina said, the snacks were for him & Esme. He should have known that. The doves were to shut Trina up. He thought Trina was going to say I love you, that should have been him. I am glad that Trina let him know how she felt, and they still need to do some deep talking.

I Don't Understand Why Spencer Could've Let Esme Leave & Spend Time with His Girlfriend, Trina.💯

This episode confirms it spencer is becoming a fool for esme again. The old spencer would never do something like invite esme to have dinner with him and Trina. He claims he invited her because she thought the food was for her no he invited her because he sees his girlfriend Trina has put up with too much when it comes to his bizarre living arrangement with esme. Trina has been way too gracious and passive with him and his strange living arrangement and I feel that will be the downfall of this so called relationship. I can see esmes game she wants to move above Kelly’s because she knows she can control and manipulate spencer by using ace. Spencer will most likely become even more obsessed with ace when ace is no longer living at Laura’s house and will be at Kelly’s day and night while esme once again laughs at Trina with how she pretty much can lead her boyfriend by the nose using ace. I see Trina becoming even more fed up with this situation once the Kelly’s move happens and I don’t see spencer and Trina lasting a long time as a couple.

Omg, finally! It’s about time Trina check him. It is painful to watch these dumbass Esme scenes. Was Spencer always this dense? Thank the Lord Trina had to spell it out.

Not sure why Spencer wasn’t able to just tell her that Trina was coming over for dinner with him. He could still have invited her to stay, but why just let her assume the food was bought for her and him? I was only joking the other day when I said he was a handsome dumb dumb… but seriously. 🤦‍♀️

Now, this is MY take on everything and I may be wrong, but since Trina is so much like I was in my late teens and early twenties based upon how I was raised by my divorced mother, I will attempt to explain her. As the oldest or the only child of a hardworking divorced or single mom a lot is laid upon your shoulders. You are expected to be independent, dependable, strong, quiet and polite. You are expected to be the helper and the one who never complains because they depend on you so much and along the way you lose your voice. You become more compliant and agreeable with everyone just to “get along”. Like Joss, my friends saw that in me as well. Like Joss my friends sometimes felt the need to speak up for me because they knew that I was non confrontational. Joss grew up being an in your face type of person. She learned from the best Carly. Maybe that’s how she and Trina became friends in the first place. She noticed Trina’s reticence and Trina noticed and admired her outspokenness. They do say opposites attract! 😂 My friends were definitely the far opposite of me! They loved to speak up for me and to “protect me” because they knew that the politeness factor was so deeply imbedded in me that I would rather bottle things up than to seem rude or to hurt someone’s feelings. Trina, in that regard, has never one really dat Spencer down and told him how she REALLY feels about everything, at this point Spencer is running blind. All Spencer knows is that HE wants Ace to have the life that he never had as a kid. All Spencer knows is that pretending to kiss Esme’s butt is a good way to continue to do that. Spencer also knows the REAL reason, other than Ace, for Esme to be living with him is that out of being around each other 24/7 and 365 days of the year ( IF it took that long) that Esme will slip up. What better way to get her to slip up than to be extra nice to her, therefore makin her comfortable enough to perhaps even think that he cares for her when he doesn’t? What better way to make her act the fool than to see that Trina is the one that is upsetting the apple cart! NOT that Spencer is doing this consciously but on an unconscious level. HE is still of a mind that he and Trina are on the same page, “get rid of Esme by any means necessary “. I once had a friend ask me how he was supposed to have known that something was upsetting me when I had never told him. He said he wasn’t a mind reader. I have since learned the direct approach helps. Trina always made Spencer think that even if she wasn’t cool with everything she was “okay” with it. She only let Joss know how she really feels which is why Joss being the “Mama Bear” friend that she is takes over and says the things that Trina should say as well. NOT coming from Trina, Spencer really can’t see how much it really truly bothers her. He just thinks Joss is being pushy and petty and obnoxious. Now, on to Spencer people tend to forget that he is young, practically a kid still when it comes to life experiences. He is a self indulgent kid who was catered to by his dad whenever he was around. His first real crush Emma didn’t really like him as much as he liked her. He was a precocious kid with grandiose ideas of how to win her “love”. Years later he meets Esme who pursued HIM and was his first everything. She didn’t give him a choice of what HE wanted or what HE liked. In his rush to make her happy, the first real relationship he has ever had outside his family, he practically lets her take the reins even letting her go so far as to give him a pet name, Spence. SHE was in control. Trina is the first girl as an adult that HE noticed, that HE wanted, that HE pursued but once he got her knowing how to really open up to her in order to keep her eludes him. He THINKS she should know his heart but because Esme has deeply wounded him he is afraid to tell Trina how he feels about her even though he has easily told others. HE wants to hear those words from HER first. It will be his way of knowing that he was not wrong this time in opening up his heart. My prediction is that IF and WHEN he and Trina makes love for the first time THAT will be when he tells her that he loves her. There’s nothing like a good roll in the bed to make you become more vulnerable! 😂 Unfortunately, I think him sending Esme these double signals in order to trap her will backfire on Spencer because he is fairly naive and she is the great manipulator and Trina may get caught in the crosshairs again. Btw, I feel these replacement writers have been doing a far better job than the original writers. I think they are afraid to move the characters too far along from where the original writers left them so they have them in a holding pattern more or less.

Spencer saying he wont talk about Esme to Joss but he out here inviting Esme to have food with Trina. Literally just left the pool and here he go pulling this tomfoolery. Just sad to see Spencer put Joss feelings above Trina (and this be time and time again)

He should have told her up front and said that the food was for him and Trina, and asked if her and Ace can eat out for the evening. It s sad to notice the fact writers are continued to bring esme constantly in the same picture with sprina it s awful and unacceptable for me sprina can't have a decent dinner together without no interruptions (it s ridiculous at this point and boring to see the same thing endlessly way). Come on writers, really Laura's apartment like a choice for a romantic gesture ( brilliant idea notice the sacarsm related directly😂). How they lack of creativity i mean it s FV 's idea for sure i feel it....he wants always wasting their potential and pairing. Spencer is so limited in his imagination that we saw this terrible thing, only solution in Spencer's mind for a dinner it's Laura's apartment it s sucks (this is a joke....so lame and pathetic...why Spencer is always stuck in this stupid apartment with Esme/Ace).
