This is a great country's update news from you, Nana. However, I think you should not market the new properties from the government (State Housing Company) to the foreigners as they have the money to afford these new buildings than the ordinary Ghanaians. Also, the 18 month period of making the $34,500 or $42,550 is not a considerate months for an average Ghanaians. Even, the majority of Ghanaians in the diaspora do not get the $34,500 per annum, so, how can an average Ghanaian who do not earn around the $34,500 per year in her/his own country afford to buy such property? It looks like the authorities in Ghana are building the country for the foreigners. The average people of Ghana also, deserves to live in a nice property and be happy with their living standard as well. The affordable housing should be the most affordable that an average Ghanaian can afford to buy the property to his/her own choice. Thanks Nana, you are doing a great job and keep it up.

As a diaspora person of African descent, i think selling to the locals priced in Dollars is gonna be hard for average Ghanaian working minimum wages. In the West it is even hard to come up with $34k on a regular 9-5 job.

The price for building materials are expensive plus labour.I think the price is reasonable comparable to some estates in Accra.

Ghana must be the only country in the world that prices houses in foreign currencies very strange

Great video, but I think these home prices need to be lowered to fit the pay of the Ghanaian people. This is only inviting more foreigners in to suck up many of these properties, and sell them for massive profits in the future. We have a program called Habitat for Humanity which is not part of the US government, but is a program which allows one to contribute a certain amount of hours to the program, use personal time to eventually build and own an affordable home. We have to do better to ensure that my brothers and sisters in Africa can afford to live in a beautiful home at a price they can afford.. Minimum wage in Gh is about ghc15!! How is the kenkey seller or trotro mate able to afford this?? Even teachers, nurses and lawyers cannot afford this! People are struggling. This shows how out of touch with reality the government is. Mtchewww... get real, this is not feasible for average Ghanaians

Why is it priced in dollars? Then it is not affordable. I know the economic problems require more thorough solutions, but this is crazy. If I was Ghanaian and lived there I would just give up hope completely. I don't mean to be pessimistic but how is 180000 dollars affordable? I’m a little shocked at the prices, I know inflation has hit but these are very expensive for the duration of months given. Secondly, affordable housing for Ghanaians have been in existence for years and usually, they are for Ghanaians ONLY since the government is subsidizing.

These prices are very high. This is definitely not affordable housing for the average Ghanaian worker. I think the name should be changed from affordable housing to simply housing since it's just not affordable. How many Ghanaians can cough up $42,000 USD in 18 months ?? Definitely not the average Ghanaian worker.

Unless your location has a minimum wage of 1000 usd per month, no tax on this salary, and a life which allows you to save 70% of it fine even if rent and displacement were included, then it will be very very difficult. Successful business is also about having average people with the right financial power. So this should be taken into account. Seriously.

And they're spreading payment for eighteen months and you're here hailing this nonsense as affordable?
