I like approaching enemies head on too. I like how even by the end of the game, (spoilers) there’s a ending that shows Jin still has honor and another one where he has completely lost all honor. For me, playing as Jin I like to still think I have honor, even when I finished the game. If you think about it, Jin follows his fathers code of honor which is to protect the people above all else.

Ghost tools for me were just get out of jail free cards. But by the time you get a perfect sakai armor you have enough perks and actual skill to make melee trivial.

If you play on lethal your almost forced too use them to survive, thats why I play on lethal makes the combat way more fun

Yes I find myself only using them when there's too many enemies. I'm sure in harder difficulties I'll rely on them much more

Try my infinite resolve combination: - Kensei armour (30% increase Resolve gains) - Charm of Silence (Massive increase Resolve gains) - Charm of Resolve II (25% increase Resolve gains) - 2 Charms of Fortunate Return (15% chance to refund 1 resolve) - Charm of Fortune I&II (to enhance Charm of Fortunate Return) With this combo I'm able to spam abilities like Dance of Wrath, Heavenly Strike and heal while gaining massive amounts of Resolve back, it just feels like I can keep going forever.

@@eakerr4 I prefer to not use Inari's might bcs I don't want my enemies to die in a couple of slashes, but if you do want to use it I suggest replacing the charm of Resolve II. Glad to hear you like the build though!

I like the Sakai clan armor. It reminds me of a samurai version of Robert Baratheon’s armor from Game of Thrones.

I see a few of these builds that focus on everything but using the sword. I am almost at a 1 hit kill sword. All major damage charms and ronin 30% gets me to 2 hits to kill a heavy unit.

If you have trouble staggering archers then try doing a jumping heavy attack to kick them mid air it’s pretty good for the gosaku's build 😊👍

Jesus, I only started playing this week and there's already so many cool gear combos I wanna try out! I'm doing more of a samurai playthrough than ninja/ghost though, since the sword combat is really fun.

Use both yuriko's keepsakes and two charms of fortune for a 60% chance for any arrow you shoot to poison an enemy, and if you have the major charm that gives you a 40% chance to get arrows back on headshots you now get 80% of your arrows back on a headshot.

I've just been trying to maximize the buffs of the armor I wear at the moment which is basic but still strong I'm only Act 2 and love one shot staggers with gosaku or infinite arrow and slomo on tadayori armor

One of my Favorite things to do is equip the Charm of Incineration and enduring Infliction, toss a firecracker into a crowd and toss a few black powder bombs in once you get a crowd, although the New Game + charms are a Lot of fun too. Especially the 2 Way of the flame charms, and the Canine Recruitment charm.

I usually run the sakai armor with the two charms you get from the inari shrines, as well as charms for health recovery outside combat, and kills regain health.

Charm of swift return only works on missed arrows so you might want to use the Charm of Izanagi, which would only give you an 80% chance on headshots, but I find it's pretty easy to land headshots while using Tadayori's Armor

Awesome video! Though I think the 50% more likely to occur charm only adds half of the perks percentage on top. So 50% of the 30% stagger knockdown charm is 15 - meaning you now have a 45% chance to knock down not 60%.

I use the terrify and burn affliction major charms with the ghost armor. Minor charms are ghost weapons 20% damage charm, 25% resolve gain charm, 15% stealth and major resolve gain charm and 50% increase to % chance abilties charm. Works like a......charm....I'll see myself out...

The Charms of Fortune are really helpful. A lot of the charms work on percentages, so these charms give them a very useful boost.

@Mk. 5 I also took my time in getting everything before moving through the main quest and took so many photos. Saved before duels so I could play them over and over again. Tried different combat, charms, outfit, styles, bows, swords and uploaded quite a few videos and pics. I explored every part of the map, looked for little touches and details here and there. Climbed every roof tops and liberated everything within a week and a half and saw both cutscenes at the end because I found out you can save it before you choose and then reload it. I enjoyed every moment and now I'm playing it on lethal mode, kurosawa mode to test out what I've learned so far. Also cuphead is out now so I'm playing that too. I'm glad I got the preorder edition with the hard case because it looks so nice. I'm sad it's over but playing it the second time with kurosawa mode made it fresh again haha. Yeah pretty much I had a head start.

the heavenly strike charm maxed out in new game plus hits an enemy with lightning far more often than its supposed to, pretty gangster, you have to buy it with ghost flowers so you cant have it first play through.

Standing around alot of enemies and have the assasination skill at max, and by using the smokebomb you can clear many enemies. It isn't really a combo but there was a moment I didn't where in a position but there was this fence or obstacle that sort of made you able to make a addad jumb for an sweet use of the assasination skill.

try resolve 2, divine healing 2 well being 2. inria's might charm of silence Resistance 3 U are going to be surprised how much u could heal by consuming only a single resolve. After I revive from iron will with a tiny amount of hp, I got to 80%+ health instantly by consuming one resolve. I really wonder if there is a bug. In the video I saw u equipped divine healing 2 but u did not gain that much health by consuming resolves. Also, with my build combing with that clan armor, u are 100% unkillable since u could gain 2-3 resolves before dying from full health and u go back to full health by consuming only one resolve. Unless the boss could 2 shot u(which is not likely since I got one massive health boost, one major health boost and 2 major damage reduction ), there is literally no way to die.

For me the Kensei armour with the charms that let you throw +2 kunai and receive a kunai when you perfect dodge, are just godly - I then add 2 charms that increase ghost weapons damage by 20%

Defeating all enemy mongol camps actually gets rid of all the fog in a region and automatically reveals points of interest.

Yes. You can get up to 20% chance with both Dual Destruction and Fortune equipped.

They announced today that they are adding a new difficulty called lethal next patch. As for additional content, I'm sure it will come in the near future whether if its dlcs or free content.

The only problem is that these high level charms actually come in pretty late (around the middle of the Act II if I remember correctly). By the time you have these you’re already overpowered as hell so there is no incentive to equip these except for gameplay’s sake. My only groan really as the second half and the third Act seem really rushed and a tad unsatisfying.

Almost every game nowadays is like this. Even The Witcher first act is enormous and it’s spread across three gigantic regions with hours and hours of quests. However, after the Battle of Kaer Mohen it’s very fast. I don’t mind it but it seems like that the developers kinda of get tired and just rush the last act

For that last build i would take the Charm of Tsukuyomi along w the charm of unseen respite so that u can have smoke bombs that heal for ridiculous amounts as well as extra ninja tools after every assassination which is super easy to do in the smoke bombs

I'm not a tech guy but I think you have to use good capture card. PS4 recording doesn't support HDR as far as I know.

@@Sepia1989 I just used the PS4 Pro's recording feature via the share button. Also, I got a notification after saving the video on the Pro that the colours may look different due to it being recorded with HDR.

Where does the game say probabilities are additive? 10% chance times 2 is 1 -(1 - .1)(1 - .1) = .19 = 19%. Further, using the same charm twice may only work once 10% chance

J R I can’t agree more once I had my charm spaces unlocked I never used others because it didn’t change the game enough for me to care about charms.

As someone who also 100% the game normally and on hard mode +, the game still stays quite challenging throughout the game (atleast it does when its on hard or higher difficulty).

Charms only have a lv1 and lv2 variants, ive never heard of a lv3 charm if not a Major charm.

Some have level 3's while some don't. Like Norio gives 3 levels of the charm that provides damage reduction (up to Massive) and they are all Minor ones.

You have to learn their movements to correctly predict it. With a bit of practice you should be able to do it almost all the time.

Personally I don’t care about charms. They just make you super OP or don’t help enough. I would’ve liked more of a variety in my combos, but god dammit heavenly flash is so anime I pee every time I see it

You are supposed to clear out the side missions and the Mongol territories before u continue main missions. I have almost all stances unlocked and I just cleared first act

I have all stances and ninja tools unlocked along with katana and dagger and 2 armor sets maxed out and I still have plenty to do in act 1. You gotta crank out all the side shit
