My favorite thing about halloween is that it's a holiday purely about being weird and having fun - you don't have to worry about giving gifts or hosting parties (unless you want to) and you can dress up and/or decorate as strangely as you want and it's totally acceptable and celebrated

Besides the whole season, what I love most about Halloween is the decor, and seeing others creativity. Here in the diehard Halloween community we all take such time and care (and money!!!) to curate our perfect Halloween decor collections. I think that's really a testament to how dedicated and artistic we all are. Plus Halloween ghouls just have more fun!

my favorite thing about Halloween is the joy. It brings me every year I would have to say the horror movies are in my top because I remember being a little girl back in the 70s and watching horror movies and how excited I would get when they would come on and back then we didn’t have a lot of options for TV. We had a few channels, and that was it, so it really became part of who I am today. But I have to say you put a lot of love into this pillow, and I really appreciate the craftsmanship that you brought to the table. That’s unique and different from other giveaways where people just go to a store and buy stuff and you know do a giveaway that way which is perfectly fine believe me I do like that as well but when you know it’s kind of homemade it makes it more special and the fact that you showed how you made it. Hey Sarah, what I love most about Halloween is the joy I feel when I allow my imagination to run wild with ideas for decorating my home and assembling my costume. There are other things I love about Halloween like the preparation for the Fall season by watching decor hunting videos and checking out store displays. My tummy starts growling when I think about all the tasty fall themed treats and drinks I can make or try. I get nostalgic for my childhood when I watch my favorite Fall/Halloween themed films because it makes me happy. Halloween is my favorite holiday and Fall is my favorite season (Spring is my other favorite). So, yeah I just love it.

Halloween, to me, is the perfect encapsulation of everything nostalgic from my childhood that has influenced every aspect of my adult life, as well! Without it, I probably would have never gotten into metal, goth, horror movies, and my style of home decor, so I really consider it the foundational cornerstone of my aesthetic and life in general. It’s everything! And most importantly, it’s Every. Day.

The ghostie is soooo cute! Poor Oogie though, please restuff him! I embroider occasionally but I wish I had a sewing machine so I could practice on a machine instead of by hand. I love halloween because it transports you back to childhood the movies, decorations, music, costumes, candy of course, even the halloween themed food. Not to mention all the fun things to do in October like handing out candy, pumpkin patches, haunted houses, all the spooky stuff 🎃👻

I love the nostalgia of Halloween. When I was a kid we lived in the south, and summer would be so hot. Every year around the last week of September, it would get cool. We would start raking leaves, and deciding what I wanted to be for Halloween. We would look at the Halloween stuff in the stores, and make popcorn balls, cupcakes, and caramel apples. I can remember one year in particular the smell of leaves burning, the cool air, and the most beautiful blue sky. We made chili and caramel apples that day, and made my Halloween costume. This is one of my very favorite childhood memories, and that is why I love Halloween 🎃

What I love most about Halloween is that it’s 3 days after my birthday and ever since I was 4, I’ve dressed like a witch for Halloween because my aunt who loves to sew 🪡 would always make me a witch costume up until I was 10. After that, she started making them for her daughters so it was so cute seeing it go from me to them. She doesn’t do that anymore but I carried on the tradition of buying a full witch costume from the store or just wearing a witch hat to celebrate. I’ve never dressed as anything else so maybe one of these days I’ll do something different. He's perfect 👻 My favorite thing to do at Halloween is have my party for the neighborhood kids. My 10-year old granddaughter is part of that crew. I buy a bucket for each kid, and every parent gives me a treat for the bucket then I assemble them. We play games and have a costume show and contest. Sorry if it offends anyone but at my party every child gets a trophy for their costume. I make up a category for each costume. It's lots of fun. All the candy is a favorite of mine too.
