"(Ghost) Riders in the Sky: A Cowboy Legend" is a cowboy-styled country/western song written in 1948 by American songwriter, film and television actor Stan Jones.
A number of versions were crossover hits on the pop charts in 1949, the most successful being by Vaughn Monroe. The ASCAP database lists the song as "Riders in the Sky" (title code 480028324), but the title has been written as "Ghost Riders", "Ghost Riders in the Sky", and "A Cowboy Legend". Members of the Western Writers of America chose it as one of the Top 100 Western songs of all time. More than 50 performers have recorded versions of the song.

Takes me back when my dad and I would go to town on a Saturday and spend time in a record store. Back then you could pick out an L P and listen to it in a booth. It was really a cool time. We'd sit by the stereo at home for hours listening to my dad's collection. My favorite was Duane Eddy. Thanks for the memories through your music. My dad would be very happy listening to your guitar playing. As I an old man now enjoy the sound of guitar music as I sit on a Saturday by myself wishing my dad was here.

Another great choice and another nicely played guitar. Me and a friend learned how to play this when we were both 13 years old. And of course we never sounded awesome but it was a great song to play. We're both 73 now and have not gotten together in many years. Life got in the way. I still play every day and I am going to re learn this until I sound like Geoff. Thanks for sharing.

Experiencing music is a wonderful idea to relax and be silent to get refreshed. Listening to Ghost Riders in the Sky is one such among the favourites! I don't know why but love to listen Instrumental music which cuts through all languages and has no boundaries.. I'm nearing to complete 69.. waiting for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ

Magnífico, excelente. Dos cosas me resultan atractivas de Geoff además de su maestría y sensibilidad: a) el decorado, el ambiente, y el acompañamiento con los que complementa sus interpretaciones, y b) ese aspecto de ausente, hierático y despistado mientras actúa que hace parecer fácil algo que es muy difícil: tocar la guitaña punteando como lo hace él. Felicidades y larga vida.
