Ernie Hudson is a good dude. I met him at a local comic con. I paid to have a picture taken with him and my son, but he ended up taking several pictures with me and my family. We talked for about 10 minutes. I asked him about Eddie Murphy supposedly being slated to play Winston. He said he’d heard that, but he wasn’t involved behind the scenes. We talked a lot about the HBO show OZ. His son, Ernie Hudson Jr was also on the show. We talked about Ernie Jr for a bit. Really enjoyed speaking with him.

You sort of made me think of something, though with the first movie. Interestingly enough, I've read that in an earlier draft of the first movie, it was actually Winston who was supposed to get slimed by Slimer and not Peter. Of course, in later rewrites he joins the team a little later. Which does make me wonder if it'd have been Winston to have the pseudo-"antagonistic" relationship with Slimer in the cartoon instead of Peter had the original idea happened now I think about it.

Beavers? Pfff. Moscow subway rats are as big as dogs. You can't see them often because they are normally used for power production: rats are kept in special rotating cages that are connected to generators. They are fed with people who have not left the subway territory by the closing times. Normally these rats are never let out of the cages, but occasionally they escape, and that could be problematic since they have developed a taste for human flesh.

I always thought it was this scene that showed GB2 was actually brilliantly written, and was more comedy horror than the first one. You go from a genuinely scarry (if you where a child) moment to something that turns the horror into comedy without pandering to the intended audience. Very very clever and a credit to the cast for playing it so straight.

Interesting little factoid about this scene:While there was no "1920 City of Albany Train Derailment", There was a disaster they could've still picked and had the ghost train appear. 2 years earlier than this fictional incident in 1918 a Train carrying 650 people derailed after it slammed into a concrete abutment along New York City's Malbone Street Subway. Of the 650 aboard, 100 died with another 250 injured. It is to this day New York's worst subway accident. And Among the top 3 worst in US History. Kind of interesting they didn't choose this disaster instead of creating one.

I think what really adds to this scene is the fact that they went down there without their proton packs and ghost traps, which always makes the Ghostbusters extremely vulnerable. The ghosts always have to have their fun when the Ghostbusters don’t have their weapons. “I ain’t afraid of no ghost, as long as I can fight back”!

You should watch the documentary "Ghosts on the underground." The uploader is Antonio Marques. It is fascinating and terrifying to watch. What really creeps me out is how these subway workers talk about the supernatural events as if they are perfectly normal. One job they will NEVER get me to do is inspect the tracks at night! Hell naw! I am NOT going to that!

Man I love Ghostbusters 2! As I kid I think I watched it more than the original but nearly the same amount of time. I loved the scares, the slime, Vigo, and the Ghostbusters themselves more than before. It’s such a frightening fun film! The Train and Titanic was awesome and still is! Such a spooky concept of ghost objects returning to where their doom once was I love how Vigo and his slime basically run the show throughout the whole film! While Gozer was the big threat along with the town of spooks, Vigo and the slime are the reason everything goes wrong! He is still my favorite Villain of the series. Without the town backing them up and the symbol of freedom, they wouldn’t have beaten him! Gozer is fantastic but nothing will ever top Vigo and the slime for me.
