I watched it opening day in theaters, I had a chill watching and enjoyed it. Afterlife was the last movie I watched with my dad before he passed away, I went to see Frozen Empire for him ❤️

I love it too. I think it's fun and original and a solid direction for the franchise. I don't get all the hate. I respect that not everyone likes it, but they should return the favour and show those of us who did like it some respect.

This was the first movie in a long time I would have loved another 30 minutes of story/development. I absolutely loved the last movie and this one. This is how you pass the torch on to another generation! ❤

I wasn't a huge fan of this movie, but I'm a big fan of these first two scenes, and an even bigger fan of Ghostbusters in general. I hope Ghostbusters movies try to channel the energy that these scenes had in the future, and they will be a lot better.

I liked it already. I respect your opinion of course but with Afterlife and Frozen 🥶 🌨️ ❄️ Empire and Afterlife it way always going to be hard to recapture the same magic 🪄 the original 1984 movie had. At least Frozen ❄️🌨️🥶 Empire and Afterlife were 100 times better than that awful reboot from 2016. Take that Melissa McCarthy.

Taking the highly recognizable shot of the "old firehouse" Ghostbusters HQ was brilliant. Really enjoyed seeing it in operation as a fire department. This opening scene was so fun, and a great way to kick off the movie.

There's nothing extended about this though, it's the same footage as the theatrical cut. The home release will have some deleted scenes as extras though

Better than the disaster by Paul Feig

It sure is Julian Smith. I personally don't blame Paul Feig for what happened though. Dan Ackroyd and the late Ivan Reitman KNEW what makes Ghostbusters a good movie franchise and the cancelled Ghostbusters 3 script before the 2016 reboot could've worked. When Harold died, Ivan stepped down as director and Amy Pascal simply took over and hired a director she knew would deliver what she wanted which was an all female Ghostbusters film and looked at what happened. Partly the reason Paul Feig's film failed is that his movies are female centric parodies of already popular movies such as his movie spy which parodies James Bond and once Amy gave him the keys to the Ghostbusters franchise fans knew not would be a disaster. Amy is clearly clueless about movies altogether. The production of Ghostbusters 3 is very troubled indeed as there is a channel here on KZfaq called Midnight's Edge which reveals the troubles behind the scenes of a third Ghostbusters movie. The videos on Midnight's Edge reveal that Amy cannot spell words correctly and has no knowledge of grammar or punctuation. It was bound to fail because it was a woke reboot which NOBODY wanted and yet Melissa McCarthy claimed the fans didn't like her movie because of sexism, misogyny and bigotry as if she can't understand why fans disliked her movie.

Love love love love love love love this movie. Saw it 4 times in theaters, already watched in on digital when it came out yesterday. But I will still never understand why the Ghostbusters theme song doesn't kick in at 2:40. That would have made this intro absolutely perfect.

The Brooklyn Bridge 🌉 in the background of the final shot of this clip reminds me of the scene where Ray and Winston were driving the Ecto - 1 over the Brooklyn Bridge 🌉 in the original 1984 movie.

The film isn't good. It's because of the writing. The story is all over the place. Too many characters, too many ideas and too many subplots. The film has no focus. It's a convoluted mess. Why can't writers just keep it simple?

I don't want anymore Ghostbusters movies written or directed by Jason Reitman or Gil Kenan . They dont seem to get the concept of Ghostbusters to me and I hate the direction its going. Enough with the family elements and awkward teens , please. If there is another movie, I hope its written by Ackroyd, Richard Mueller, or J. Michael Straczynski.
