Жыл бұрынGhostbusters: Spirit Unleashed can make for some great chaotic fun with friends. The core gameplay loop is simple yet enjoyable, and Illfonic has made a game that’s pretty balanced on both ends.
Mixing the single-player narrative with the PvP multiplayer is an interesting prospect, but it ends up being a gimmick more than anything else. Furthermore, some annoying design oversights such as the lack of mini-maps and additional game modes can make the game frustrating at times. All in all, it’s a decent experience that might be worth looking into for Ghostbusters fans, but it could have been a lot better had it spent more time in the oven.

No progress saves offline. It can be played online by yourself with bots and it will save that way.

not going to lie guys, this felt like the classic ghostbusters game but with more of a free rome but in first-person all the rest is the same as finding ghosts in objects, putting them in the traps and trying to detect their location over all a great game and another new thing is that you can play as a ghost which makes the game even more fun.

The developers said they tried to implement it but it didnt really work or made it too op. Also.. you are never supposed to cross the streams...total plutonic reversal. 🤷♂️ Ghostbusters constantly crossing the streams for every little ghost wouldn't make sense. They said they may revisit the idea in new modes.

Remembering the old game where you drive to each stop to bust ghost is something I'll never forget. But is there any notes on if the company will keep working on the game and release a dlc or patches. Or is this just a one time drop and gone type of thing that we just wait for it to be on sale.

I played the last remastered Ghostbusters game. I wanted to like it more but it got a little tedious. The nostalgia helped it, which is never a good thing to say about a game. This game seems to suffer the same. Trying to play with strangers in co-operation rarely ever works.

No hate towards multiplayer, but older gamers such as myself 43 who grew up loving GBs don't have a stable of friends who play GBs or play at all. Most of us didn't even have video games back then but I digress. So single player is still my favorite type of game. GBs was the first movie I saw in the theaters.

@@974cerebrate as someone who’s played the remaster and 2009 original i can say this definitely doesn’t provide the same solo experience ghostbusters: the video game. the offline option of spirits unleashed isn’t as expansive as that one but makes up in its online presence. all the offline provides is playing with Ai’s which does get a little boring after a while. this game was definitely meant for its online course. i hope this helped

My disappointment cannot be overstated. I have been starting and restarting the game for the last few hours trying to get through the tutorial. Cutscenes and audio are buggy on the ps4.

Seems like a game the released that wasn't anywhere near finished, it really needed a single player mode and it being only an online game seriously limits it's appeal, it also seems quite shallow, perhaps it just needs a sequel that includes this one as a freebie or includes a story recap in it, this is OK for what it is, but I can't see it being the game anyone was clamouring for. That they didn't market it was a huge red flag and I think we can see why there isn't enough to it to be worth marketing it.

Y can't they just remake that to play the same but with co-op? Like how it splits up 2 ppl at time at certain points, u n ur friend goes 1 way. Like when venkmen gets slimed in the hotel at the beginning of the game. It'll be cool to play that part leading up to that.

I am at the point where games don't release as great pieces of art from small developers. But I love the subject t matter, I happen to have 3 friends to play with, and my fingers are crossed this game gets more support than Friday the 13th and less lawsuits.

There are two sides to every coin and the other side to your’s is that games used to be finished when they were released and nowadays you get a very primitive version of the game which is still fun just kind of dry on content. Than content is added for a couple years after launch. This claim definitely applies for cyberpunk 77 and halo infinite.

I don't like the look of this. At all. Ghostbusters The Game is a MASTERPIECE and the real part 3 of the franchise with ALL 4 original actors voicing their characters. The multiplayer on that title was a blast! There's STILL people online playing it on the X Box 360 - so I think I'll stick with that.

Not having a minimap is NOT a problem, don't listen to him. If your fast on your feet, mark the ghost with a ping, and work together ghostbusting is awesome. I honestly never expected this game to be so good. Fuck his 6 rating, it deserves a 8 or 9.

You don’t need a mini map at all the maps are not big enough for a mini map and the pke upgrade can help with finding the ghost or rifts it’s that hard or annoying in getting around. It doesn’t need mini games or any of that and why would you need game modes when the point is to be a fucking ghostbuster why would you need another mode. If you get bored of hunting ghosts become the ghost for awhile. This game is so much fun and easily a 8/10.

It does have offline play as well. You can play online with other players or solo with AI bots. While playing online does have a sort of story, it's not really a campaign per say. However, in the offline "Skirmish Mode" both stats and data are not saved (including story progression). Thus, you cannot earn xp or level up while playing offline. But, everything is already unlocked for you in Skirmish Mode. And you can play either as a Ghostbuster or Ghost in this mode as well. You do not need an internet connection to play offline. Basically, it allows you to try out all of the equipment, upgrades, ghost types, ghost varients, etc.

The asymmetric games has a GREAT potential, especially to make fell like in a movie but the problem is that there few games and then some of them are mid, evolve: great universe, good characters, a gamplay loop too repetitive and especially *MICROTRANSACTIONS*, I like it in a way, DBD is just… meh… it was good but they did bad choises, same as evolve but this time the gameplay loop is enjoyable and addicting but seeing that getting every character I would take like 250 dollars or more is just… well… a bit too much especially to be a competitive game, and by that the game became too competitive for its own good apart of being a living toxic hole, this seems promising let’s hope that bigger studios gets interested on the asymmetric genera.

The reason why is because of Twitch mainly and the fact there's only like 7 major studios active in the world. SQUARE ENIX, Nintendo, Capcom, Activision, Ubisoft, and EA and Bethesda. They all immediately devour any legitimate competition that might arise and just churn out the same shit over and over because they're cheap and they rake in the cash on micro transactions. There isn't even incentive to keep up maintenance because all they have to do is jangle the keys and Twitch streamers and esport teams lose their shit and throw money at them like it's water.

Seems unfair to review a game the day before it launches. Content for this type of games increase over time as well as the bugg fixes
