People are complaining about the Mini-Puffs, because they are too cute. But they forget that the original giant Stay Pufft Marshmellow-Man from the first Ghostbusters-Movie and The Real Ghostbusters-Cartoon is just adorable. Seriously he is just a cute giant monster.

Gonna be a lot of angry parents with these. Having flash backs of getting Ghostbusters slime in the carpet.

Me and my sons had a blast opening them! The mess was part of the fun! Just do it away from the collection lol

These mini pufts reminds me of when we were kids in the 80s and we had toys for cute but violent creatures in movies like gremlins. Everything’s been so safe for kids for the last 30 years.

Maybe put the cups in the freezer for a few minutes

When I got some and I opened them, I found it helpful to just cut the bag with the Mini Puft in it while it was in the container so I could minimize how much of the marshmallow slime I touched. Also, I had a bowl and paper towel nearby so yea that seemed to help.

Just imagine how the guys felt when they blasted Stay Puft!

The white marshmallow substance was supposed to be a non-sticky slime but because it was at a warehouse for a year it's begun to break down and now it's sticky and gooey like real marshmallow. Can't wait for people to do on boxing of these in twenty years

The slime is intended for kids. Kids will love it. It will be a parent's nightmare though.

I'm glad you were honest about the marshmallow slime -- that stuff suuuuuucks. My five year-old daughter took a handful of it as we were opening the mini puft and ran throughout the house with it. It got everywhere, and it's a nightmare to clean up.

I found that mixing and mashing the slime in my hands for about 10 minutes mixed the spoiled slime back together and now it’s a perfect fluffy marshmallow consistency hope you saved some because it’s worth it

lol... This makes me very glad that up here in Canada, the mini-pufts came in bags with no slime.

Well at least the marshmallow "slime" is not colored. A big pain in the butt about the GB slime canisters was the green/purple of the slime would sometimes stain stuff. I normally don't go in much for collecting little figures, but man those mini puffs are so cute in a Gremlins kind of way.

I highly doubt one year in a sealed container would turn it into that. If anything, it would dry up, and become less sticky.

The white goo does look like melted marshmallow, and the fact that it gets stringy like melted marshmallow was likely the intent. Still, I probably wouldn't want to buy that for a kid, or at least warn them that it is definitely NOT edible stuff. And I would make sure that they're opened over some kind of covering like newspaper so that stuff doesn't get all over the place.

Actually i think this was intentional, because that's what playing with actual marshmallow fluff would be like.

I just bought some of this stuff, didn't know what I was getting into. I thought it would be like Ecto-Plazm. What made it really messy to deal with was the bag, if the figure had just been in the slime like old school it would have been much easier to deal with. Obviously they had to do that because of the paint deco, but... I ended up playing with the slime for a while and I appreciate what they were going for, it really looks and feels like marshmallow. It gets a firm consistency if you keep kneading it, and goes right back to sticky goop if you put it in the can.

Hey Jason, on the Canadian/international bags, there's a number on the back on the top left corner, I think that might be the indicator of which one it is for that packaging; I got two blind from Amazon and both had the number 1 and they were both the Mini-Puft tied to the rocket.

Yeah the gunk was a pain in the A. i got 4 and after opening the first, I put on latex gloves.

"This can't be what they intended" It literally looks like melted marshmallow. I'm guessing that's the intent. It's literally a concept in toy design called "messy play". And it's why slime, playdough, silly putty, finger painting, sandbox/sand tables... Kids enjoy playing with their senses, and parents can use it as a teaching tool for cleaning up. The easiest answer for parents on how to keep this clean would be to put a disposable tablecloth down and then after the play when they go wash their hands you just ball up the tablecloth and toss it (just make sure no minis are still on the table or they'll get tossed too which is a common occurence)

Just opened one yesterday and what you said actually makes sense... I couldn't believe what I was witnessing... They really need to stop with this slime and compound crap in toys it's horrible. We had found the tubes of slime at a dollar tree probably a year ago and it was super slimy when we opened them initially but I came across them a few days ago and upon opening it it had liquefied and spilt all over me. It was putrid to say the least.

That marshmallow goop is like a neat idea on paper, but horrible execution. The minifigures are kinda lame, but I really like the packaging.

I think the marshmallow slime stuff was intended to look like that, not to create a mess but because it looks exactly like melted marshmallows, have you guys ever had a s’more, because that’s what your hands look like after a s’more

Even as a kid I would've hated that "marshmallow" stuff. Messy things can be fun when you're a kid but that really doesn't look like it is. I would've just washed my hands straight away. No fun at all. Hopefully when they're released in the UK (if they haven't already?) we'll get the version without the marshmallow gunk.

I think out of the USA the marshmellow goop is not allowed because of child protection rules. Nice idea, but make it really edible next time.

Best of stinks so much I found out that if you quickly tap your fingers together and then get a little glob of it together and use that to tamp down on other slime it builds up together and comes off everything but that stuff was really nasty

I wish I knew about this before I bought mine. I got it while picking up Podcast and Lucky who I needed to complete the Afterlife Plasma Series (no Phoebe?) And I got everything home, got Podcast and Lucky out of box, built the underwhelming sentinel terror dog, and then went for this container. I popped off the cap, said "oh crap" and sealed it back up. I had no idea there would be "melted marshmallow" in the way of the mystery bag. So thanks to your video, I now know that I can't just pull the figure out. It's in a bag. It took 45 min to mostly clean it up. It's a year later. The label is removable. And I have the Puft on a Rocket, which I know because it's N04. I imagine I can't just wash this crap down the drain either. So I kinda wish I didn't buy it and have no idea what to do with it... This video was suggested to me so I'm very late to seeing this.
