That was my reaction when I watched the trailer several months ago, LOL. I thought the action looked even worse than _The Gray Man_ and the chemistry between them was nonexisting. These two work together much better in _Knives Out_, although that it's an entirely different dynamic. And speaking of Evans, he should play more unhinged psychos. His characters are one of the scant few and some of the highlights in the aforementioned films, respectively.

Literally the only reason I would ever have to wanting to watch this movie is because I liked Ana as a spy in No Time to Die. If the film disappoints, it will probably just put me in the mood to watch Game Night which did this genre right. Plus Dexter Dexter was a good surprise villain fighting Rachel McAdams and Jason Bateman.

Liking art is subjective. Thought Netflix's The Gray Man was mostly terrible, de Armas's Hulu Ben Affleck movie equally so. Really liked this, had a lot of fun. Hope they make a sequel, but de Armas will probably be busy with her John Wick spinoff Ballerina. 3 out of 4 stars.

Ghosted My rating 6. This movie disappoints on many levels. It does have an idea and some very cool action scenes. Ana de Armas yet again how natural is she with action. And Chris Evans does give her good company. Surprisingly letting her doing all the kicking. But beyond its idea and 2 leads and some action scenes, Ghosted has a really loose plot and poor drama to sustain its full length. I am highlighting some issues with the plot. First the whole one day love affair looks rather unconvincing. The way it is set up its like they complete the whole affair in a day. They had to set up the plot better. Like they were starting to fall in love after the end of the day but got seperated. So that the audience really wanted Chris Evans to meet Ana De Armas. There you need some emotional depth. Secondly the whole spy plot is really loose. I mean it is never explained why Chris Evans is mistaken for somebody else. I really thought that was going to the plot twist of the movie. And it should have been the plot twist of the movie but it is not. The spy angle of the plot is written very generically. It does not excite you and it really has very little thrill. It feels that they really had no solid idea for the spy plot but were just using it to extend the movie. I really think that plot could have been better developed had they stayed in one location and developed it better. Moving to many locations to shoot action set pieces affects the tension and build up. Now the action is well done but it adds nothing to the story. I really do not understand this concept of adding high voltage action to the plot without much of a background. Even moments where the plot had potential to add some excitement it does not utilize them properly. There are handful of cameos but they are really poorly utilized. I mean the supporting cast get a raw deal in the movie. Nobody leaves an impression except De Armas and Evans. Final Verdict - Ghosted is big disappointment. There is some really lazy writing here and lack of clear tone and commitment to the plot. I think Ghosted should have been a spy thriller with the love plot acting as the flavor. It seems the makers wanted it to be love story with the spy plot acting as the flavor.

I’d give this 2.5/5 (it wasn’t god awful for me but it wasn’t great either it was just… eh). For me the second half worked a little bit more than the first half. On paper everyone involved (from director, producers, writers, cast, etc) sounds like a slam dunk. But it’s just very meh. Something I felt (and this is the most random nitpick) was it was too glossy. Like it was to the point where it looked like the most extreme hi def (I don’t know if 4320P is even possible yet but this sure did look like it).
