Even with bots I would be fine, I just want a way to *stop the AI from taking all the helos* because its pretty much one and done, you crash the first time and an AI will fuck off with the helo all match. You've pretty much got to restart the match everytime you crash.

Are you disabling the auto pilot (assist) feature and using veteran controls where triggers are throttle instead of guns?

I attempted to get my controls as close to veteran as possible however my biggest issue seems to be that user interface like the heads-up display.. I'd rather have that upside down T for firing rockets.. and also when aiming everything seems hypersensitive.. And over responsive.. I also don't like how simply reloading rockets is automated

@@dustinswatsons9150 the cross hair for vehicles absolutely sucks. Too much clutter. I still find flying helicopters better than bf4, but the jets sucks to fly in 2042 compared to bf4!

Using the AA launcher, best strat is to get a lock on and don't fire. They get the warning when you lock on not when you fire, meaning they will pop flares. Then just hide, wait like 7 seconds, lock again and fire

@@9895_Wdym? There's a distinctive continuous warning sound when somebody is attempting to lock on you and an intermittent alert sound when a homing missile has just been fired at you. That will only work (and not always) against people that fly helicopters sporadically or are first timing a heli. Your average dedicated pilot in this game has clocked enough hours to know that he has ample time (ample time, always based on the average human response time) to discern between the continuous and the intermittent sound and then a fine amount of milliseconds to launch flares.

if your on m&k try rifle aim, where you get ride of invert mouse and switch roll and yaw with each other. most really good people use it, its almost as easy as infantry to keep your mouse on the target

I wouldn't recommend going for captures because so many things can melt you if you fly that way. The most embarrassing way to die is getting shot by a tank cannon/ rail gun in the face. What I recommend is to fly like a normal heli: pop in and out of cover to attack, go out of map if you are out of flares and low on health, rotate around the target for maximum attack time, kill enemy aircraft if possible, etc. The only thing different is that you want to fly very stable and constantly mark targets for gunners.

YOU NEVER USE AIR VEHICLES FOR CAPTURING. NEVER. There is too many variables in 2042 that make it so you literally cannot stay still for more than 2 to 3 seconds in any particular spot. High vehicle count plus everybody running engineer or a class that has C5 i.e. all except support means you stand still and youre gonna have a dozen explosives sent your way in mere seconds. Especially now where air vehicles are all weak to explosives and wildcats and the only viable zerg vehicle for points is barely the MAV and CAV.

practice and the default settings for heli and jet while you can get good with them they arent optimal especially aiming with the helicopters and pitch input so for the jets not bound to a key doesnt give you the max input value which is a huge disadvantage and binding a and d to roll and mouse left right to yaw with the choppers vs the default a d yaw gives you way more precise aiming (called rifle aiming) tho it takes getting used to if you've been flying with it reversed kzfaq.info/get/bejne/n7CUf7x8kryRY4k.html. he has the jet world record for kills and did for scout heli idk who has it now or if he took it back the fucker that broke the previous ww in jets (was his record as well) was hacking was banned within the last month or 2 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/q7qjotB7lr6we2Q.html

Thanks mate! 1). Assisted flight essentially allows you to hover in place without giving the heli any input. Without flight assist your heli will drift towards the ground and you'll have to constantly give it a little throttle to keep yourself flying. 2). I had a solution to this in the video at the end of the settings section, it's a config file option called ''gstinput.freelooksensitivity''

You’re probably in 3rd person mode, you have to switch to 1st person. On PC it’s the C key, not sure about console but should be easy enough find in the options.

just invert your mouse/controller aim in pilot settings.

I put it on 1600 DPI and it took like 4 tries just to hit the [x] to close my logitech software window.

Tbh. First person feels way better in the tank, especially with firing. If you can, use cover to your advantage and try not to fully expose yourself when in battle. I really enjoyed the tank superiority playlist on portal this weekend. Tho I started off as an aggressive Lis with a repair tool. I got bored with all the tanks hanging out in the spawn or just sitting still. I much prefer to be an active tank and working to get flanks.

Let me know if you find the answer to this. Some KZfaqrs have the Yaw set up for side to side movement on the mouse. I haven't figured out how to change that.
