I know this is probably told from a romantic point of view, but it really reminds me of when a child is leaving home. They may want their parent(s) to be with them, but they have to go off on their own and in some way, they want their child to go as well to make it on their own. It reminds me of my Grandmother as well; I really wanted her to move somewhere with me, but she loves where she lives and it was sad saying goodbye to her when I left after staying with her. Still today, she always reminds me that she loves me the most and is always thinking of me. This song reminds me of her and is very bittersweet to me.

After listening to this song, it made me tear up so much. I'm literally crying as I'm typing this comment. Never heard a song that related to me in so many levels, until I heard this one. I'm currently in a long-distance relationship and I'm battling with low self-esteem and depression. I cut myself every now and then and he's aware of that. I can feel the disappointment and hurt in his eyes when I tell him about my cuts. He's supportive and I can't be more grateful to have him in my life, but knowing that my actions sadden him, I feel so guilty and I end up feeling like a liability to him. I sometimes feel like he's better off without me, but I don't have it in me to break up with him. I love him too much.. There are times I just wish he wakes up one day and feels like he shouldn't be with me. I want him to leave me because of my actions.
