I bought one of these about 3 years ago and it’s small but mighty I replaced my old upright with this and it’s my main vacuum it does everything to perfection while being lightweight and it cleans my carpets good with the electro plus nozzle which I bought as an extra it’s a fantastic vacuum

I have one of these in my home. I use it several times a week for bare floor and entry / kitchen rugs. I like your new review format that mixes in home use, feature and benefits, and shop time. There is a hose attachment set from a dealer in Encinitas, CA. Homelux Vacuum and Appliance. It is called the Wonder Hose. It is custom built for several different Miele applications. It works awesome on the Miele Tactical (Quick Step).

Picked up an S168 in white for $40 on Craigslist a couple years ago, has the reostat and direct connect socket. Came with a 226 powerbrush that lets it stand upright. Love it. One thing I don’t like is the direct connect socket is always energized, as there isn’t a switch to turn the brushroll on and off like on their canister hoses. I used to have a very old Miele 274i canister (made in West Germany just before reunification) that came with a powerbrush similar to the SEB 204 externally corded model, except it had a little power switch built into the recline pedal (I don’t recall the model number). That canister also had a power switch on the hose, which occasionally wouldn’t work if the recline pedal had been depressed (kind of like a bad three way light switch). So I cut that pedal switch out and soldered it inside the 226 powerbrush, and now I can turn the brushroll on and off with my foot.

Just got one for $15 at Goodwill. Glad to hear its a good vacuum.

I used to have this same model in white back when I built my first home. It was a townhouse and I'd keep my Miele S528 Filtration Guard canister on the main level and bring the SEB236 powerhead upstairs to use with the stick when I cleaned the bedrooms. It was a great machine!

I’ve loved mine. I found a old Kenmore hose that fits it for more mobile cleaning. I clean houses and use it for my backup vacuum to my Windsor Sensor XP12. Something is loose I’m guessing in my Miele SEB236 powerhead connection because whenever I pull backwards it looses power. Same with my Sebo ET1. Guess I’m pretty rough on the poor things🤣. It’d be cool if the Miele stick vac(I have the Quick Step S194) had a shoulder strap like the Sebo Felix that I have. Great video! Thx for all your recommendations and help!🙋‍♀️❤️

Another great review. Watching it convinced be to get one I saw on CL. This is a very capable machine. As strong as any Miele. The one I picked up works fine, but I disassembled and cleaned it up to help address the smell from previous use. Great for quicker work, but capable of doing most of the house if needed. I don't use it much for overhead work. I love using the electric brush head. And when using that head, it can stand upright. As mentioned, some kind of hose option might have been nice. I see the new Duoflex has a hose accessory (but where to store that hose?). I have several other Miele machines - canister(s), U1, Triflex(es) - and use them accordingly. But I still love the H1. Why can't I part with any of my Mieles?

With the power nozzle it kind of reminds me of the SEBO Felix.

The H1 with an SEB236 power nozzle makes it the ultimate vacuum for small apartments.

I just got one of these for free because it was used without a bag but everything is intact but it is just really scratched up and needs a good deep clean. It is supposed to be white but it is now like a dark off white and has black marks on it, not burn marks but paint marks. Edit: I forgot how easy these were to strip down and fix and I found a lot of replacement parts on eBay for pretty cheap too

These beauties are a beast, both in weight and power. I got a used one recently and I love it, it's so quiet. $300 new is kinda expensive but have you seen the price tags on Dyson V11s? I can't believe Dysons are $600-800. I think the worst thing about the H1 is they cost the same as a C1 canister vacuum.

Oh i would love to get one of these but unfortunately these are expensive in Spain and Miele isn't really popular here so finding one on the used market is almost impossible so the next best thing is a vorwerk

Picked one up this past weekend off Facebook marketplace for $35. It wasn’t used much could almost pass for brand new. It came with a 236 powerhead the combination tool it’s a 2015 model so it was assembled in China. Overall I like the machine it’s my first one. I do plan on keeping this it’s a great vacuum for quick pick ups definitely a stick vac on steroids lol 😂

I also found a sebo automatic x4 but sadly the bag housing where the hose wand sits broke like the little clip that holds it but I have a bag housing on order, sorry for the double comment I am not a big KZfaq person
