This video is a restart of the 3D printed Go Kart project. After I redesigned the Lego Inspired parts I finally decided to reprint the steering system and finish the chassis, the seat and the wheels. After this video I only need to add the motors and brakes and it should be ready to go!.

This looks like so much fun to build! Also nice that you thought of using left-hand thread on beforehand 😆

Why does the left hand thread matter?
@properprinting
@properprinting 8 ай бұрын
@@Kirainian_Gaming the left wheel will eventually loosed the bolt otherwise. Same thing with bicycle pedals, one has a left-hand thread and the other right. This can take a while to figure out when you try to unscrew them and you don't know about this😆

You ought to do stress and weight testing for your joints, bolts and beams that way you can get an idea for or an exact value of how much load they can take, it will give you more confidence and let you design with stress and loads in mind that way your not over or under engineering your designs

Looks great! A smaller pinion gear would help with the steerability and also give more space for your legs (as others have pointed out). What is giving you the strength between the front axles and the steering arm? It looks like just the little tab, but I'd be afraid that will shear off if you ever see any resistance in turning. Excited to see it move!
@josephdecesaro1528

I would say the steering ratio is way to fast and it will need more angle to make a decent turn but this is a good start tho.

Ivan, this video series (I have watched them all so far, and love it) has given me an idea you might consider for another series, based on the same building blocks. Do you think you could build a wheelchair? Maybe even one that is motorized, and maybe that can transform into a standing position, like some I've seen? You might need one if you crash during your race... Just joking.

I hung my 3D printer from a 1.65 gram TPU cable tie I designed & printed to show how strong the design was, but it's nothing compared sitting in a go kart you designed & printed! Your ending tune, "Caro Be & Leviate - City Boy", I keep having to go play it after I watch your videos its too catchy.

You are going to want a differential gear on that rear axle, or you are going to have a real rough time going around corners with those wide tires. Otherwise, it's fantastic. I think Matt ended up going with a split axle and two motors

Is there a limitation on the power? Like are you both using the same motor and power source? Because otherwise, I'd say get a better engine than his to offset the weight. I'm a little worried about you legs interfering with the steering though (they're really close to that gear!) hopefully the turning radius is good enough.

I think that weak point is between the place where the front weels are mounted and the midle of the frame that is supported by the side blocks, I tink it would be better to extend the upper front spindles holders to the back to where the side blocks are starting to prevent it from bending.👍👍 I mean the place when you look at it from the side its between the the front weels holders and the midle section of the frame, more specifically between the place where the side blocks are ending
