GIANT Bluefin Tuna in SHALLOW water off Long Island, New York

Күн бұрынMid May 2020 we went out searching for Giant bluefin tuna 3-5 miles south of Long Island. We ended up hooking up and landing this 400lb GIANT!!!!

Nice fish! I'm Fishing Long Island waters since 1967. It's unusual to catch a Bluefin only a few miles off. We used to run to the canyon. Montauk& Shinicock.

This is awesome. Glad you could get a troll bit out of these spooky fish. We hooked one on striper gear this December 3 miles off Avalon, NJ. We had no chance getting him though.

Wowwweee Kazoweee , that is one bad ass fish !!!! The power of the sea flows through the veins of that mighty beast . Honor it's life and powerful soul as you would your own . Looks like Poseidon shined his mighty trident in your direction this day men of the sea Hazahhhh !!!! The runs on the drag were amazing . You can see the power of the ocean in it's pace . The power of that great fish is well beyond a man's on a face to face level . It's as if they are in a whole other realm of energy all together. One we can touch but never truly be the ruler of . If the only way we can subdue them is by power of rod and reel then so be it LOL . Good job men !!

These fish showed up in 40-70’ on the bunker pods for a solid two weeks plus.Bass trolling guys were getting spooked trolling mojos and bunker spoons.Not a lot hit decks but these were serious fish.🤞next spring.

It’s ok to fish from a dead boat you don’t have to be in gear on these fish all the time. Also if you have over 300 yard of line out just the drag from the line will prevent the hook from falling out.
