We've become so used to just throwing things away these days and not trying to fix anything. It's a pure joy watching you take something that most folks would call trash and not only make it look good but in most cases putting it back in full working condition. Plus you have Avril the cat to help you on your projects. Thanks for what you do.

For the sake of preserving the wooden agitators in a food-safe way, you could treat them with olive oil. I use it for my wooden steak knife handles and whenever I have to wash the handle portion itself (rarely; I hand wash and am careful to only wash the blades) I rub them down with fresh oil and at over 20 years old they look as good as new.

Great job on another unique antique item. I remember my grandmother had an old butter churning device. It was the traditional way of churning using a giant ceramic urn like pot and a wooden handled churner. I don't think I remember it ever being put to use when I was little. My parents still have the butter churner in their house. Just used for a decoration piece.

Lot bigger, and more interesting, butter churn than the one I've use in the past. Those hand churns with a long handle this is pulled up and down is the type I've used in the past. Great restoration, and such a useful item to have around.
