I was hoping to see you use the old sharpening stone that you restored years ago to sharpen the blade.

For those of us watching on a Roku, it would be nice if you identified the material that you used to condition the handle. You do some subtitles, which are appreciated, but when you drop screws and stuff into jars of liquid, what is that liquid? Is it mineral oil, cooking oil, linseed oil... you get my drift. Other than that, pretty good video.

Is there a limit to the sand blaster? If you are gonna use it anyway then why bother with the (what I assume is) rust be gone goop? Just asking for info not criticism. Love your vids ☺️ they are very relaxing

Nice restoration. I like that you actually reused much of the original wood. Using all new wood would have made it a rebuild instead of a restoration. I enjoy finding old wood and seeing how good it looks after removing some the surface. Reminds me of us humans when we get older, how we look on the outside but not so much on the inside.

Question! When remaking the handle, what do the two lathes do differently?

You cut too many scenes and skipped too many steps, somewhere it is not clear what you were doing... not the best video you made so far, I'm sorry.

Try oven cleaner on tough old grease and oil. I use it on nasty oil caked engine blocks and cylinder heads. Great job on your restoration!!!

I just marvel at watching the restores not that you clean them up but in many cases you are able to replicate a part no longer being made. You are a true craftsman sir, much respect to you.
