I never thought that i would buy a gibson... a bit expensive and I was happy with mexican tele's.. things a father would do for our kids 😀 and with help from interest free payment options 😉😅

If you want a Gibson Les Paul but can't afford it just get an Epiphone Les Paul, they are owned by Gibson are they are way more bang for your buck, like a bit over 500 bucks will get you a proper 50s Standard Les Paul, which are better than the Gibson Tribute series (which is basically just paying for the logo on the headstock)

@@chucklee347 Even regular 50s standard Epis are better than the tribute, the tribute is literally just paying for the name on the headstock

I hated the '59 reissue. The bridge pickup didn't work properly, so I returned it but wouldn't have kept it anyway. A lot of your money goes on the garish hard case that came with it. Has a really chunky neck if that's your preference. I got an Epiphone (inspired by Gibson) Les Paul Custom for $785 and am in love with it. I even prefer the Probuckers to the Burstbuckers.

Absolutely beautiful! I got the satin cherryburst tribute back in April from Sweetwater. I love mine. Don't let anyone tell you this is an entry level les paul. This tribute model is a best kept secret. Its a beast of a guitar. Its every bit as good as the standard without the binding and tons of nitrocellulose coating. I'll never sell or trade my tribute. Its just a gem of a guitar. Enjoy yours, young brother.❤🎸☺👍

Thanks mate.. my son is also 15.. it was supposed to be his 15th bday gift but delivery was delayed a few months... i am a tele guy myself, he tells me he is a les paul guy 😅 Do you still have that les paul? 😀

Got my first one at 53 years old! Same exact 2022 model. Had all the case candy as well. I put the pic of the guitar that came with it, for the day it was "born" on the shelf above my TV. Got really lucky cause someone gave me a vintage 1977 chainsaw case, with red interior right before that! It was destiny. I love this thing, and it sounds killer through my 1963 6150 Gretsch amp!

❤what a great gift to give your son. He will cherish and wear that Gibson LP Tribute out! I have it and a GIbson Standard LP and the Tribute is the one I often through a 65 Princeton Reverb. Amazing dad you are man! Kudos!!!🎊 🎉

A nice uplifting video to come across. Does he still have it? Does he still play it? I have a few but I buy them used. It takes the edge off the price but I'm sure there's nothing like a new Gibson from the factory floor.

🤣🤣🤣 my son was the one who choose the color... he was 14 turning 15 then... i think he was trying to get close to kirk's greeny... no burst.. i was telling him get the tobacco burst.. which was actually on special and in stock.. but he liked this color and we needed to wait for a few months for it... not my guitar anyway...
