Marie Vanleeuw on another related note, when I went to Disney for the first time, my older sister (she was roughly 7 at the time) pulled Pluto’s tail at a character dining experience. My mom was so embarrassed!

Just in case ur confused, that was actually for a reason. The place the cast member sees from is the mouth of the character. Pooh stuck his nose in there so he could see what it actually was :)

I was a character performer for over 20 years. I have almost every single one of the little notes and drawings children (and adults) would give to me. They are my most treasured possessions. I had one kid actually draw me while he was in the queue waiting to see me at Pete’s Silly Sideshow. That one is framed in my office now.

@@Emily-27 I was actually an attractions CM, so for 6.5 months I was a Park Greeter at Hollywood Studios and I would pick up shifts at Magic Kingdom for regular (non-party) days, Halloween shifts and Christmas shifts as well as Epcot at both the main entrance and International Gateway. Then for my last 2.5 months I was transferred to Soarin'.

JK K it’s not crap. All you need is patience. I’m sure the cast members are happy to have a little bit of change and excitement. They meet hundreds of people everyday and most just take a pic and leave. Let people have their magical experience. It’s nothing but positivity.

If it was truly about "positivity," then they would be giving gifts to people doing the dirty work too (custodians, food service workers, ride operators). They're clearing giving to the people who will get them the most attention.

As a former character attendant this makes me literally want to cry bc it's the little things like this that we appreciate so much. I spent my time in mostly Magic Kingdom and Pooh and Tigger were my favourite to work with so seeing his reaction was my absolute favourite (I've also sent some time in Pixie Hollow as well too and Tink really is too sweet). Our character friends work so hard and unfortunately guests aren't always the kindest to them, especially our furry friends, so this warms my heart so much. Especially around the holidays when so many of them have to work in Orlando instead of getting to be home with their families in Arendelle or the Hundred Acrew Woods. We had a couple who came like once a week and would ever drop off small things like themed handmade keychains or tsum tsums for the characters and their attendants/photopass and even 6 months later I still carry them around with me or keep them in my car and I don't think I'll ever be able to forgot how much the little things mean so thank you for doing this.

@@gikagaming751 I was an attendant so the flip side of the entertainment family, and time at WDW and you meet a character I was the one in either blue or gold keeping time of everything and making sure they stayed safe. I had lots of friends that hung out with Pooh and Tigger though that I got super close to during my time with Disney which I love bc now I have the best memories, photos, and vlogs or meeting those guys as a guest in the park.

I volunteered to be in one of those types of costumes for a summer camp and it was so heavy and hot and you could barely see through the eye holes and most of your vision is blocked off but it is an advantage that no one could see me lol 😂

i work at a party company (disney characters but not run by disney) and actually the best characters to play are villains! their costumes arent as hot as the hooded costumes and you dont have to smile if you dont want to

any Disney employee is allowed to keep a gift as long as 1) we ask 3 times if it's really for us/ok to keep, 2) if it's not real money or worth $500, and 3) if it is Disney related (so no random Universal/non-Disney items will fly). i received many gifts as an attendant, it's really special and makes our day SO much better :)

As an ex cast member myself I can say that receiving gifts from the guests was truly magical! I was given a pin and pixie dust before by two different families. And I was just a custodian!! Haha but I absolutely loved this movie. They are such giving people ❤️ how amazing ❤️

When I was little, we went to Disney world and I was talking with Rafiki. I also had a little Simba plushie so he took it from me and cradled it in his arms. I swear, I started squealing on the spot and gave him a hug. This just reminded me of that part of my childhood and I loved it.

1:00- im like almost crying rn ;-; tbh unfortunately cast members arent treated well by disney and while they are working park goers can be extremely rude and demanding. this is honestly probably the first time this cast member has ever seen kindness to this level. it warms my heart. she will never forget yall ☺️💕

These are all so adorable. I just took my 5 year old daughter to Disney world and she drew Cinderella a card and painted a sun catcher at home before we left. It was such a big deal for her to meet her and give those to her. I truly hope the cast member kept her gifts because I know how much it meant for my daughter to meet cinderella. I always try to not rush through the meet and greets but worry that we take too long compared to other people, but I know these are the memories she will always remember is that extra long hug from cinderella and Mickey

It happened to me once and tbh it was a really great feeling. I was given a giant purple thermos cooler bag (that I use as a laptop bag) and I honestly was just being my usual goofy self smiling and trying to make people smile on their way out but later I found out I would always have to be her cashier because she hated everybody else in our store and they couldnt stand her either lol
