Eminem's stuff is for Eminem. No one can put his shoes on and feel his conviction. But for a female singer to cover this classic, Gigi was phenomenal. I agree with you that she can rap and should write something. She's a proven artist and people want more from her than just covers. It goes with the territory of being one of the most gifted singers to come along of any generation. Your honesty is always important.

Thank you for your reaction and analysis of our stars. But most of all for your kind and insightful thoughts. There was another reactor that did not appreciate Gigi's performance. I respected his opinion, but I was obviously disappointed. I did not get it, but with you, I somehow understand. You just don't cover rap. Because of this I have a higher appreciation of rap. When rap music hit the Philippines, many were hooked which gave rise to local rap artists. This includes Francis M, Glock 9, OC Dawgs, etc. Gigi is arguably considered here as Cover Queen and Gigi Vibes is an excellent band. Their genre I believe, includes Pop and Rock and Alternative. To make Gigi branch out as a legit rap group may be a tough challenge but they are still young and growing. Again thanks for your wisdom . Mabuhay.

I agree, she got the flow & it would great if she wrote a verse. She & the band actually have an all original album that came out a year ago. Unfortunately there's some restrictions with her management, something to do with her signing them but not the band, so they can't perform them in their independent gigs. Its wacked. Most ppl dont even know they have an album but it's on Spotify. Songs are in Filipino/Tagalog & there's 1 English song.

You're asking for something that can't be done at this time because they have too much on their plate and they have their own schedule as well as legal restrictions you don't know about. What you want as a reactor may not be the direction that the band is heading for. Just be happy that she can make these performances at an awesomely high level that other artists can't even aspire for, especially those who don't have her conmand of the English language. Watch her covers of Filipino Tagalog songs and see if you can go in that direction just because they won't be following your specific wishes and wants.
