In his message, Love Doesn't Always Feel Like It, Dr. Gil Bowen, Minister Emeritus of Kenilworth Union Church in Kenilworth, Illinois, reflects on the meaning of love found in a familiar passage from Paul's first letter to the church in Corinth. Dr. Bowen says that, "Love never ends. Why? Because love is the bedrock reality beneath all of the other realities of this world, love is the power that sustains the universe and each one of us."
The Rev. Dr. Gilbert W. Bowen is ordained in the Presbyterian Church USA and served for 37 years as Senior Minister of the historic Kenilworth Union Church in Kenilworth, Illinois. He earned a doctorate from McCormick Theological Seminary and a training certificate from the Center for Religion and Psychotherapy both in Chicago. Dr. Bowen is a world traveler and the author of several books. Since his retirement in 2007, he continues an active life of preaching, lectures, and travel.
