Thank you for that summation. It helps me better understand. I always thought he was speaking about one's home-life/upbringing, how it can cause a person to become damaged thus leading to "self medicating" in an attempt to ease the pain.

Everything you ever see, do, and experience. But essentially you live with and by yourself in your heart, soul, thoughts, feelings, and memories. Only YOU know all of those things because it has been you who has lived with all of it in your every waking hour -- and even in your dreams. Or nightmares. So ultimately your Self is your home. Ultimately and in the final analysis, you live with and by yourself, you love with and by yourself, you hate with and by yourself, you suffer with and by yourself, and you die with and by yourself. And you are the heir of your actions. So, take care of yourSelf. 🙂
